Sorry if this has been answerd somewhere already but I certainly couldn't find it. But can someone list any mod incompatabilities with the latest version of CtB please?
I saw a thread about the BP mods but I'm not planning on installing it or any other mega mods.
Also, is worldmap still required with CtB v1.11 or is it included?

Thanks,
Mike

Well, the modified Worldmap itself is included within the mod, but if you are going to use any other mods, it might need the BP-BGT-Worldmap mod and the (G3)BG2fixpack, that's the base rule. So we need a list made by you to advice on what needs what... so make one!!

Now, on the what's compatible and what's not, the BWP is a list of mods that are compatible with the CtB. So take a quick look on the .pdf file as to what mods it contains on page 2 to 9, as that's the list.

Thanks for the quick reply. However, I downloaded Big World Project and it seems like a long way to go to answer a simple question, every other mod has a thread for mod compatability so why not this one. It'll take me a long time to get through all that info in BWP when most of it doesn't apply.

"if you are going to use any other mods, it might need the BP-BGT-Worldmap mod"

Like I said in my original post, I'm not going to install any mega mods (apart from CtB) so I don't see why I'd need the BP Worldmap.

Essentially what I was planning to install was

BG2 with ToB
G3 Fixpack
CtB

+Fade, Banters, BG2 Tweaks, BG2SoA, COM encounters, quest pack, EXNEMs vault, Lvl1 NPCs, forgottem wars item pack, rogue rebalancing, Spell 50, item upgrades, SP item pack, timestop tweak, tower of deception, adalons blood, Kivan & unfinished business. Possibly a kit mod or oversight monk HLA's too, I haven't decided what my PC will be yet.

If anyone could tell me if these mods are compatible and if I really need the Worldmap, it would be very much appreciated. Thanks.

They all should be compatible and if I remember it correctly you won't need the Worldmap mod, but it wouldn't hurt either, much.

It'll take me a long time to get through all that info in BWP when most of it doesn't apply.

Well, if I say yes, but do not know what I am saying yes to, it takes you half more time to even question the answer I give to you, than just to know how wrong it is, cause the info I would have needed wasn't there, as you should know that there are more mods than just two of the BP-BGT-TDD-CtB-TS_BP-RoT combined need the Worldmap mod, "Gibberlings Three Anniversary" mod for example is one of them.

Now the reason why I said to use the BWP's first few pages is that it has a conformed working installation order, and it has been played through at least once, and it give far more detailed info than I can give.

...on this I might be totally off:

BG2SoA

Is this a real mod or just the original game... link?
As the installation order goes something like:
BG2:SoA
BG2:ToB + patch v(2.5.)26498
G3 Fixpack
CtB
...
BG2 Tweaks
Lvl1 NPCs
Worldmap(again I say you do not need it, but it won't hurt either).

Worldmap is definitely required to be installed after Check the Bodies.

For extra clarity read the CtB -Version.txt that is included with the mod package.

Worldmap is definitely required to be installed after Check the Bodies.

But one has to have two of those mods, not just one to need to use the Worldmap mod.

The list goes something like this: BP-BGT-TDD-CtB-TS_BP-RoT-SOS-"Gibberlings Three Anniversary"-BGTsubMods(DSOTSC-NTotSC-SoB-SoA-Drizzt Saga), and if you have two, you need to use the Worldmap mod, to get all the changes.
Of course erebusant might be right, cause he would know this thing better than I...

My bad...I thought the worldmap was required even if for one Worldmap "link adding" mod. Learning something new everyday is fun

Worldmap is required for CtB latest version, as well as all of the latest versions of the "BP Family" of large mods and several smaller mods (ie; SoS, TDD, CtB, TS-BP, RoT, DSotSC, NTotSC, SoBH, G3 Anniversary)...

Hey, thanks for all the help guys, I really appreciate it.
By the way BG2SoA is the mod that adds some BG1 items to Irenicus's dungeon.

"Well, if I say yes, but do not know what I am saying yes to, it takes you half more time to even question the answer I give to you, than just to know how wrong it is"

I did go through BWP and I didn't think it was helpful as it showed compatabilities with a huge installation with a whole lot of mods I wasn't going to use so it said not to install things which will work perfectly fine with what I am going to have (e.g. rogue rebalancing). But you are right in that it does show install order. I was just confused Jarno in that you originally said it shows mod compatability for CtB which it doesn't. Your replies do tend to be a bit crpytic. But I do appreciate your trying to help.

Well, if all those mods I listed are completely compatible with CtB then I'll go ahead and install them. Looking forward to all the new stuff CtB adds, particularly the quests. I've been playing BG2 for a long time and felt like I needed something significantly different to spice things up again. I did start playing it once a long time ago (pre-weidu) and got through the chores then just ran into too many bugs.

Anyway, if anybody does think of any mods or parts of mods that are directly incompatible with CtB please post them here (I think I read somewhere that maybe Dungeon be gone isn't compatible), I'm sure a lot of people would appreciate it. I know that before I download any mod, the first thing I do is check the forums to see what mods will/wont work with it.

You can't install the "additional Shadow thieves" content of Rogue Rebalancing, I believe, but the author has a check for CtB so that shouldn't be an issue...
