Shouldn't that be Giant Frost Troll instead of Frost Giant Troll? Moreover, that FGT will transform into a normal Giant Troll when it gets killed/back on its feet.

Additionally, is it an "Flaming Fist Soldier, Corrupted" or a "Corrupted Flaming Fist Soldier"?

What I also noticed, that you use Giant Stick Insect. What's different from a normal Ankheg, apart from a different melee attack item?

Apart from that it's just too cruel from you :crying: Now I'll have to do another install in the foreseeable future, as your mod is just a must.

Fixed Rogtro and SFTROLL is attached.

Explanation:

Your Rogtro.cre has now rogtro75 instead of rogtro01 as a script.
This means, that it sets SPRITE_IS_DEADrogtro02 to 0 if it dies immediately, which prevents one hickup with the quest from Roger the Fence in BG2.
Moreover, it uses a new spell. Instead of using the original Sea_Troll_change, it uses rogtroxd.spl via ReallyForceSpellRES to change Rogtro.cre to its "regenerating mode" version Rogtroxd.cre.
Rogtroxd.cre has a new script named rogtroxd, which prevents the second hickup with the quest from Roger the Fence in BG2.

No new tra-lines are required, you only have to include all of the above for both monsters in the usual manner (=SAY for rogtroxd.cre etc.) in the tp2.

The change for SFTROLL is similar.

If you want, you can change their script names, in case you want to script something only referring to them and not other giant trolls.

10th ... thanks as usual for your help.

My ugly english for the first 2 names, so i'm updating those right now (as for the troll's death, i have to check that).

As far as Giant Stick Insect is concerned, it's similar to Ankheg's attack, but currently much stronger when in phisical combat against the party as u noticed (different melee item and deadly at low levels).

I'm still not sure about Sea Troll, did u experience in the game it breaks Roger's quest? I just created that troll from scratch using a normal troll but with its animation, so it shouldn't have and give those issues ...

PS: ehehehe i'm not that cruel mate, i didn't do a "component" update for so long time, and the new random spawn between areas should provide at least some new option and good option to expand the mod in future ;)

The Problem with the new Sea Troll is the following:

If you kill them instantly with a death effect (Death Spell, Chromatic Orb at Caster Level 12 etc.) or something similar (Intelligence Drain of a Mind Flayer) there is no problem, as it's still in its original form.

But if you kill them when they're lying on the ground, you're killing a different creature. As the following

And even if that wouldn't give you a SPRITE_IS_DEADrogtro02, if it gets back on its feet it sure will.
That's because in the lying down animation it has rogtro02.bcs. Which will replace itself with the regenerated version of the Sea Troll due to the spell SEA_TROLL_CHANGE (Spin670).
This spell does a Replace Self with rogtro01.cre.

Gotcha ... the issue just happens anyway in the case a Sea Troll awaken from its "sleeping" status.

Here is the French translation. I also updated the weidu prompts since a lot more are now available.

I have some doubts about a few creature names:

@1304 = ~Gnoll Spirit Shaman~

Is this like a spirit troll, a kind of ghost? That's how I translated.

@1307 = ~Baloch~

I have no idea what this is, and couldn't find any Internet reference linking to D&D, so I left it as it is.

@1308 = ~Frost Giant Troll~

In Icewind Dale, there is an "Ice troll". I assumed it was the same, but giant.

@1310 = ~Corrupted Flaming Fist Soldier~

I'm surprised by "corrupted", alone without additional "by ..." for instance. Shouldn't it be simply "corrupt"? Was he bribed to act against his group? I think "corrupt" might be better then.

No, it's simply a Gnoll, Shaman :)

Yup, my invention ... currently it's based on a creature from a very old game (Moonstone ;))

IMHO, renaming an ankheg "giant stick insect" doesn't really add anything. ;) Variety is great, but I'd prefer to see mostly monsters described in the various D&D Monster Manuals, providing of course that there is a suitable animation for them. On that topic...are you taking advantage of any of all the new animations available through Infinity Animations? Or just using the existing vanilla resources? Please note that I haven't actually had time to test the new version myself yet...

Quester: yep i do agree but ... guys, please note that the aim of my mod is NOT to bring new creatures to the game, but to give always new "feelings" to any new BGT game (the random factor in my mod is the key) ;)

Anyway, at this stage i added a couple of new creatures taking advantage of some animation used not so often in the game, of course those creatures can be "adjusted" in future releases, as for now it's just an add-on for the sporadic random encounters u may face travelling between areas. I appreciate any feedback in improving those or any new idea eventually :)

@Quester (was forgetting :P): i'd like in future to dig a bit into IA mod ... while i don't like some new animation, absolutely it has some very cool ones that can be used (example: goblin raiders ;)) for new creatures ...

@Shaitan: i'm not experienced with Tutu unfortunately, but i'm sure it won't work for the area names (any of my script refers for example to "areaXXXX" while in Tutu the same name is "FWYYYYY"). But i'm sure there could be also other technical details i'm not aware of right now or they don't come up to my mind right now ...

Small correction on the french tra :
@1309 = ~Elémentaire de l'eau mineur~
(Kinda means : Elemental of "minor water", as in, an elemental made of "minor water" )

should be

@1309 = ~Elémentaire d'eau mineur~
(Means : Minor water elemental)
