HI,

i have been to the kuldin academy.
Fun place to explore (traps, many rooms, amazing treasures...), but, is this NORMAL that ALL monsters i see (some "gargoyles", other "barbarians"...) after a few seconds turn in iron golems?

I have to say that these iron golems are hard (like if there where, in fact, adamantine golems, but with 13000xp...).

I must say that if i need to rest each 2 golems fighted, it seemed IMPOSSIBLE to me when i faced 7 iron golems after the "you have been randomly teleported" with only 1 wizard (Edwin, in the case).
I had to ctrl y them...

But, just before the turn in iron(-adamantine-resistances) golem, they looked like gargoyle/succubi...

Hug?

My weidu log (in french, because i'm):

The regular creatures are Harpies and bugbears that appear but adjust depending on 2 things:

1)number in party

2)the combined levels of the existing number of party members

I think the high level adjustments are the golems or demons. That is if party levels add up to greater than 72 or something like that. If you were to solo through at level 9, you would see different monsters just as an example. I hope that made sense

Actually I think the golems are high level but the demons are the highest level. What levels combined is your entire party?

Yeah that happened to me too. They would show up and a second later transform into golems. If you have Munchmod installed (item mod) there is a very handy mace that kills golems on hit, or use the rod of smiting. I had Anomen kill almost all of them. It should be called the Tower of Neverending Golems, must have killed dozens of them - that is the only monster in there besides a few vamps. Kind of too bad that the bugbear and harpy animations are wasted, they were very cool. (Wish a modmaker would use them again!)

Also my party was only level 13 or 14 average, so yeah it was tough. Without the mace it would have been extremely tiresome. Wasn't it nice when you tried to rest and had 7 or 8 spawn on you. <_<

Good luck fighting dozens of demons Hopster!

Me sad... :crying: I can't get the adjustment to work for the demons. That was mentioned in an old thread and I must investigate. I think the script stops at the golem conversion...strange.

The Classic Adventures uses plenty of them... and a lot of other stuff too.

Huummm.
I was maybe 72+ yes... but... those golems are "iron" ones... but in fact are as strong as adamantite... (my hits do +- 3 hp.... rather than 20 average...)

THat was not "easy" at all, and i had no more spell... and can't rest.

I think the bad part is just that it ruins the entire mood of the place
