whatever TDD-SPL.bif is doing to my spells is crashing the game all over the place. All the 'drain' spells freeze the game. vampiric touch, larloch. I cant just delete that either. anyway to get the engine to reference back to the original spells.bif?

Well, it´f you have diagnosed the problem right, you just nede to go to the TDD folder, it has a backup folder that has "0" folder, it should have backup for all the spells(spin123, ...124, ...678, ...890, spwi502, ...613), so they need to be moved to the override folder, and that's should be it.

The spells in the '0' folder didnt have the spells that are causing problems. It was however in over.bak folder. I tried putting them in the override folder but they still caused problems. Near infinity does show the spells that are causing problems are reading from spells in TDD-spl.

Interestingly, I extracted all the spls from spells.bif from BG1 and they worked! Im not sure if I broke anything else though by doing that...

Where can I find the original spls from the BG2 CDs?

Why doesnt this mod have its own subforum??

Well, you would have to realize that the BWP is not a mod in the traditional way of looking things, but an effort to try out to create a way to make the biggest Megamod out there... so it's in the Mega Mod Help Forum! Plus there are other ways of doing things... Now could you and everyone else try to stop to put our things in 'your order'...
And if you were looking for...

Why doesnt TDD have its own subforum??

Well, guess what happened to it... ages ago, now a days it's still on no_ones_territory.

is TDD safe to use then? Safe with the mega-installer in the big world setup?!

I have been Away from the bg...bg2 scene for awhile, all of the mods have gone up a few revisions so that when I read, "270+ mods" I did a double-take! Even the huge megamods too?!!
[shadows over shobar...etc....the "components" of the big picture mod without the actual big picture
master file!]

thanks...freestone

Well, it should be, with few dependencies... like that it's safe_with_the_all_none_grayed_out_once. There is about 70-100 of them in the Expert install, but the Tactical installation won't install them, so it's the safe mode... this should be quite clearly said in the BWP e.pdf and BWP d.pdf files.

PS, the BP 177a is also used... cause it's safe with the BWP's fixpack update in it, within the restraints of the Tactical installation.

We hope with the new TDD version of Hoppy, that TDD get its own subforum. :)

but you have more choices or paths through the game.

thanks Jarno!

its been awhile;
when I read about the Big world project, the hair raised a bit, on the back of my neck!
I once tried a mega-install using the TUTU easy and also a supermega for bg2, but golly, I tried it and got just a few screens onwards beyond the start, then went on to other things as surely I was afraid that in the "million"
"do you wish to install xxx component, yes/no"'s I probably barfed it all up!

I had even read, back then, that...."all of the mega mods used with Big picture are buggy and or that they just add endless combat"! like check the bodies, the darkest days, shadow over shoubar, tortured souls, etc.....
But Patches and *this* huge Effort of BiG World, gives to me Hope. I *will* add them all, let the TACTICAL version of the install, "decide" what is what.

I am hoping that the person who wrote about Darkest days magic/spells files ruining his game for magic, had a mod or two that was not on the "approved" list for tactics, that he was using the "expert" mode!

As I went to Amazon, today, to order the one expansion for bg2, that I did not have, the summery for bg2 said something like, " here bg2 has 300 hours, and it those hours were not enough, the expansion comes out for you all"!

200+ mods!
If I install all but the "grey", in the tactical install version, I will have a game that probably will keep me going until I die of old age!

I am going to be 68, in June, I live in a senior independant living Home, my computer table overlooks a live oak tree full of spanish moss, the fact that there is at least one man, here, who is active at 90 years old, gives to me Hope. but these
273[?] mods might outlast even that, as i have morrowind and oblivion also, and yes, modded to the limit too!!

Component 6270 of SCSII needs Ascension. It looks like, that you have not installed Ascension and therefore this component is automatically skipped. But why is 6260 installed!?! Can you post your WeiDU.log?

WARNING: cannot verify action ~SetGlobil("CbOriginalPeopleInteract","AR1100",0)
SetGlobal("CbImoenInteracted_1100","AR1100",1)
~: Parsing.Parse_error
...
...

Well the "SetGlobil("CbOriginalPeopleInteract","AR1100",0)" is just spelled wrong, as it should start with SetGlobal. Do you know which mod was the warning attached to?

Thanks for you report, neutrowave. We'll try to fix this.
Can you post your WeiDU.log?

- Could you make a changelog for Imoen2j.dlg and post the content here?
- Could you decompile and upload the Imoen2j.dlg? (type in the console "Weidu.exe Imoen2j.dlg", then you should find the Imoen2j.d in the BG2 main directory)

Sorry that I do not know how to make a changelog or decompile....I've opened Weidu.exe and at "Enter Arguments: " I typed "--change-log Imoen2j.dlg" and nothing, Weidu.exe exits; where is the console?

You need to use the proper form, so insert:
--change-log Imoen2j.dlg --out results --out results/log1.txt
And the result will be at the result folder...

neutrowave, thanks for your WeiDU.log, so I see, that this problem is caused by us and we will fix it with the next version. Thanks for your report about that.

Now, we'll see if we can solve the other problem, too. Sorry for the wrong command. Please try Jarno's.

For the change-log you have a batch-file with this name in your BG2 main directory. Right click and edit it. In there is a description how you can make a changelog. After you have made your additions, save the batch-file and execute it. Post the content of the chonge-log.txt here. This batch-file was extracted with the BiG World Installpack.

About the Imoen2j.d .... how to decompile Imoen2j.dlg?
This did not given any output, typed in WeiDu.exe :
--change-log Imoen2j.dlg --out results --out results/log1.txt

And the result will be at the result folder...

I can not find "results" folder in "BGII - SoA" folder :(

Found out that Xzar/Montaron quest from TDD cannot be completed due to the changes in the script variables. As a result, proper actions from BALDUR.BCS are not triggered.
In TDD creatures are identified as XzarDD and MontyDD. In my BALDUR.BCS they are Xzar and Montaron. Weidu change log shows MONTYRAS.BCS (also involved) is changed only by TDD and BGT (installed in this order). The possible culprit is BGT, but the issue needs investigation. For now I'm not planning reinstallation, so I cannot do that.

Well, TDD hasn't been changed for quite a long time, so it should not be a problem. The thing under suspicion to me is BGT. If I have the time over the weekend I'll do an installation to figure out where's the problem. I'll report later.

Open your cmd and go into the BGII directory.
Type there "weidu.exe Imoen2j.dlg" without the quotes.
Then a Imoen2j.d should be created in your BGII directory...

Will uninstall 49 files for [SETUP-ALORA.TP2] component 0.
Restoring backed-up [alora\backup/0/ar6200.bcs]
alora\backup/0/ar6200.bcs copied to override/ar6200.bcs, 72813 bytes

The information shows, that Alora is not installed due errors. I see in Leonardo's WeiDU.log that the mod is installed without any problems:

~SETUP-ALORA.TP2~ #0 #0 // Chosen of Mystra's Alora NPC Mod (Requires Throne of Bhaal)
What do you mean with "Your Alora mod Debug file", the "BiG World Debug.txt"?

And what do you mean with "The normal Alora 1.02 works just fine"? In an older installation of yours?

Greetings Leomar
A Megamod does not mean that you can play all of the mods or all of their content,
but you have more choices or paths through the game.

What I mean it is the version that has been traified by the Big World Textpack is the one that I have problems with, not the untraified version.
