Hi everyone,

i hope it's not too impolite to make my first post a plea for help, but i've almost lost all hope to get my Installation running the way i want it to.

So here is the deal:

I'm trying to get a Setup running with: Bg2+TOB, TDD, SOS, CtB, WoP and some minor charmods and Tweaks.

I used the BWP install.bat for a smooth Installation and everything works okay except the worldmap. Either the areas are totally misplaced ( Athkatla areas showing where Icewind Dale is supposed to be) or new areas not showing (only the vanilla areas, no mod areas at all) or both.

i tried solving this problem myself, read almost every post on megamod installs on the shs forums but i can't figure out whats wrong.

Hmm, what's the fault in there... well, you might need to use the v7 of the BG2fixpack, as the BWP Fixpack doesn't seem to have updated the setup-bg2fixpack.tp2, or you would have the 'BWP v6 Fix' tag there. But before you do that, could you upload the "BiG World Debug.txt" file, but do compress it, as it will cut the size a lot from example 32MB to 500 KB.

As I guessed, the BWP Fix fails to install onto the BG2Fixpack v8

You don't have the BG1 portion of the game, so you don't need the 'Thalantyr ItemUpgrade' mod.

Update the WeiDU.log and the BiG_World_Debug... or load them to another archive. You did do a clean install and another link.

I set up a clean install and a new BWP Mod install.

Results are the same

Hmm, what's the fault in there... well, you might need to use the v7 of the BG2fixpack, as the BWP Fixpack doesn't seem to have updated the setup-bg2fixpack.tp2, or you would have the 'BWP v6 Fix' tag there.

This information is wrong. With a new updated modversion, it is correct that the BWP fix will be skipped, because it is not needed anymore. The problem is not caused by the BG2 Fixpack. All looks fine in your new WeiDU.log, so at first I don't know what could be wrong.

For a BG2 install only you must changed the "BiG World Install.bat". Can you attach it please?

The Install.bat looks o.k., so I've no idea why you have this problem. You have installed BG2 without BGT, so it would be a good idea to report your problem in the BP-BGT-Worldmap forum (click me). Perhaps erebusant knows, what is causing this on a BG2 only installation.

Good news: i set up a completely new install, this time including BG1, and the worldmap works perfectly

Lesson learned, don't attempt a MegaMod Install without BG1
