At the risk of sounding redundant with others that are new here, holy crap things have changed. To start with, I've played the vanilla games (BG and BGII and etc) and I went through with TUTU. Now, I'd like to try a bit more and go with the BGT and have that seamless transition from one to the other with the additions that I've found here. After reading a bit, I figure the best way to go is with the Big World Project method, and select the different mods that I want to use. Which leads to a few questions, but the one that is the most pressing is probably the simplest to answer. Really I just want to make sure that I understand all that I read.

So I start with a clean install and follow along with the pdf, grab the mods I want in the correct named folder, get the BWP installed and let it run. Making sure that I follow all the notes from either the PDF or from the site as far as the notes and any prereqs I want.

Is this correct and as easy and simplistic as I am making it sound or am I missing something?

Well, some of the notes in the .pdf files are really old, Example:

6.2. Northern Tales of the Sword Coast v170a
~SETUP-NTOTSC.TP2~
This mod brings to you new quests, locations and new monsters.
6.2.1. Copy the folder NTotSC and the files Setup-NTotSC.exe and Setup-NTotSC.tp2 into your main SoA directory(this is the old part)

Now, if you follow the primary line of instructions("IN THREE STEPS TO SUCCESS", pages 1 to 14), you'll get an automated installation that has it's choices already made for you... It's made this way, because you can then alter the choices(well, actually, remove the mod components), or not placing a mod to the game directory before you start the auto installation .bat and the automated installation then just skips those... and because the BiG World Fixpack actually corrects files during the installation.

Deactivated account. The user today is known as The Imp.

Ah, okay, thanks for clearing that up. I wasn't 100% sure about that. I may go through a couple different ways just to familiar with the different methods. Long and tedious, however should give me a better idea of things with this.

At least the .pdf as some basic descriptions of the mods, did make for interesting reading to see what has changed since the last time I installed the BG games with some mods. Lots more things to play around with this time around. I figure this should last me until I get a new PC and something out there grabs my attention.
