I'm not entirely sure, but from what I remember that's right, yes. The quest continues after returning from Spellhold.

Yes, you can't. you can complete 3 parts before going to Spellhold, then go to meet Kharen, then complete the remaining 2 parts after coming back.
You need to kill Bodhi before you can do the last part (the 6th part)
There is a 7th part after Kova is acquitted. See the thread on Oft Missed Content
