Hi,

I translated the BG2 NPC Mod "Kim" from French to English.

The mod was created by Grenouillebleue and is being actively maintained by Akadis.

1. Is this mod released, or is it still in beta?
Released
Download it here: http://akadis.webou.net/Kim/KimEn.html

2. If this mod is still in beta, are dialogue additions likely?
Possible, but not in the near future

3. Is this mod already traified?
Yes

4. If traified, are you willing to supply the accompanying code, should the translator wish to view the lines in context?
Sure

5. Approximately how many lines need translation?
About 103 pages (Letter / A4). No idea how many ideas.

6. Describe the particulars of the mod (type of mod, brief summary of any NPCs involved)!
Kim is a female, human pirate NPC (swashbuckler) to be found with Renald Bloodscalp. The mod includes two quests (a big and a smaller one), a romance for male humans, half-elves and elves, and some magic items.

7. Preferred languages?
English

8. Please list other mods by the same author, if any, for comparison of writing style.
None at the moment

9. Any deadlines?
No

10. What game and what mod is this for?
Baldur's Gate 2. No ToB content, although it is required for installation.

11. Anything else you'd like to mention?
Should you have questions for Akadis, I will gladly translate them to french.

Thanks for any help.

No, nobody volunteered yet.

Thank you, that's so nice of you.

BTW, I'll probably finish the translation in the next few days.

Diana will also proofread.

I'll let you decide which files you want to proofread, just keep Diana informed too.
But maybe a double proofreading can't hurt - if the quality of my translation happens to be not that good.

Oh, and the translation itself is finished.

have you uploaded it? Yes, still the same link than above.

how do i see it in context -> Have you downloaded the mod itself from Akadis homepage ?

(I'm not into modding myself, just doing some translations. So don't take the following for granted)
You should find some *.D files in the archive. Those actually point to all the @'s in the TRA files and the syntax consists mostly of "IF/THEN".
You can use Weidu (or the setup-XYZ from any mod, which actually is the weidu compiler) and remerge the D and the TRA files.

That's more useful for translators/proofreaders who are also coders. A lot of times, context will make you decide to use one word over another. For example, if I saw that the speaker of a line was Anomen, I might choose to phrase the translation differently than if I saw the speaker was Keldorn. For the most part, though, it will make little difference to you.

Great news.

Diana and Jeneara have finished the proofreading. This completes the translation.

I will update the file in the first post.

Thank you so much, Diana, Jeneara.

Regards,

Xicloing

And Akadis has updated the mod to version 1.60.
