Hi, can someone tell me if i can change the ingame screen refresh rate , because i think is 60Hertz ingame and i want to change it to a higher value, to match my desktop screen refresh rate and my eyes.

You can do that from the baldur.ini's "Display Frequency=x", without the quotes -line, as the x is the number without the Hertz unite.

Or you can do it from the bgconfig.exe, but you need to do it before you install the Widescreen mod, or your GUI will be frelled.

BGT Tweaks v8 has been released by Ascension64.

Where men gather, a bustle of chaos ensues. I would save them all, if I could.

I've uninstalled widescreen, made the change in baldur.ini and installed back widescreen then ... it worked :D Many Thanks Jarno Mikkola

I want to make clear something, if i uninstall BP-BGT-WORLDMAP (this is after end-biff) it will uninstall all the mods succeeding BP-BGT-WORLDMAP automaticaly(i got a small error in BP-BGT-WORLDMAP)? then(after i fix the error) my game will be fine if i install manualy the mods in the correct order?(currently my game is working in normal parameters)

@ Sir Lancelot

If i would want to use those fixes without running the install.bat and therefore install the BWP itself, what should i do? I don't find any tp2 there, just the .bats.

The informations you get from the Install.bat. Right-click and open it. After the following:
%IFG.% L A S S T D E N W A H N S I N N B E G I N N E N !
%IFE.% L E T T H E M A D N E S B E G I N !
the installation part starts. These informations
%IFES%bg2fixpack%S%bg2fixpack%L%0%SK% 0 1 3 100 101 102 103 104 106 107 108 109 110 111 112 113 114 | %M%
%IFGS%bg2fixpack%S%bg2fixpack%L%3%SK% 0 3 100 101 102 103 104 106 107 108 109 110 111 112 113 114 | %M%
you don't need, because they are install the mods. You must look for such entries
%IFS%bg2fixpack%IFIF%Tactics.exe copy /Y ".\Tactics2\nforest\copy\AR1800.ARE" ".\override" | %M%
to get a clue, what is needed during the installation process.
If you have no clue, what these lines are for, then it is easier to modify the modcomponents for the mods and run your edited Install.bat.

BGT Tweaks v8 has been released by Ascension64.

We know, please look at the Importent News, because for the new version you must edit the Install.bat, if you want to use it.

I want to make clear something, if i uninstall BP-BGT-WORLDMAP (this is after end-biff) it will uninstall all the mods succeeding BP-BGT-WORLDMAP automaticaly

This is a feature of WeiDU. At first WeiDU uninstall all mods until the mod you want to reinstall and then it reinstall all mods again. :)

After a few days, I see, that is much happened in this forum. To much that I can handle it in one or two days. So sorry, if I can't answer all BWP questions at the moment. I hope that not all topics have unanswered questions. :(

Greetings Leomar

A Megamod does not mean that you can play all of the mods or all of their content,
but you have more choices or paths through the game.

So that means that.... if neutrowave wishes to manually uninstall the Worldmap mod and do something then, he has to manually uninstall all the other mods before it, because WeiDUs re-auto installation would skip the procedure neutrowave might wish to do before the Worldmap mod reinstallation...

I had this thing in SETUP-BP-BGT-WORLDMAP.DEBUG after BWP 5.7 installation because i had to move RoTerror folder to other partition to lack of HDD space during end-biffing(END-WAV1.bif ~1.729 GB), after that big bif, space was released and i moved back RoTerror folder but it was not quick enough and saw the underlined text below, it appears that the game is okay ... i didn't want to have any unpleasant surprises when i reach RoTerror in game ... i decided that ... now that i don't have to deal with end-bif anymore to uninstall BP-BGT-WORLDMAP (it will uninstall any mods that follow it automaticaly, right?) and install manually BP-BGT-WORLDMAP and the mods that follow in order (now, i wouldn't see that error because RoTerror folder is in the place)

This is my situation and i know it's wierd :)

I am loving this BWP game! Holy cow... :D

I enjoying it greatly, best time playing BG in many years. Because of how great it is going, there is a increasing feeling of dread that something I did was wrong and I will have to scrap it all and try again.

I have studied this very hard for the past 2 - 3 months and I am pretty sure its all correct, however it would prevent a nervis breakdown from looming anxiety if one or two (who have warrent for opinions to be believed) modders would look my WeiDu.log over and see if they can find anything wrong with it... Now I understand that things can go wrong, things happen, and I would not be angry if somthing unforseen came up (not stuff that only I am to stupid to see in the WeiDu log) it could all die at any point. However, all I am looking for is a

"I cant find anything wrong with you WeiDu.log and you should be fine" sort of response.

My WeiDu.log is:

Anyone see something that translates too "Oh *#$&! You better start over with a new install because... :rtfm: " ?

And put these the other way around, as you need to reinstall the bgtmusic after you go to the BGII part:

~SETUP-BGTMUSIC.TP2~ #0 #0 // Baldur's Gate Trilogy - Music -> Full Baldur's Gate and Tales of the Sword Coast Music
~SETUP-END_BIFF.TP2~ #0 #0 // Override Biffing -> This method biffs all files in the override folder and it's possible to uninstall this mod. You need another 2GB of disk space."

Crap...Do I need to start over? What is the probubility of my game becomming not finishible (with out a lot of command like code entry wile playing) I would have sworn that I had the fixpack all ready to install with all the other mods. Do I have to run/start the fixpack manualy by itself after really big mod install finishes?

"And put these the other way around, as you need to reinstall the bgtmusic after you go to the BGII part: "

So do I NOT put the BGTmusic install in the SOA folder with all other mods when I install? And just install it by itself when I get to BG2?

You probably confuse the BWP fixpack(this you already have) and the BG2Fixpack(which you don't), as you need both!

So do I NOT put the BGTmusic install in the SOA folder with all other mods when I auto-install? And just install it by itself before when I get to BG1, and reinstall it after I trancefer to BGII?

In that way, yes. :D

That sounds like I need to restore files and re-install mods as per "Some tips on installing/reinstalling" post... is that an accurate interpretation of your post?

Thank you for your condolences, AND THANK YOU for Taking the TIME to look it over and INFORM me of Impending Doom

:wall:

Now... to figure out what has changed, download the updated mods/fixs, organize, make the correct modifications again...

:wall:

But once it works... I will be worth it

At least it has been worth it in the past (so hopefully it will still be worth it in the end).

@ Jarno

Update news.

LET THE MADNESS BEGIN !

Thanks, we'll change that.

So that means that.... if neutrowave wishes to manually uninstall the Worldmap mod and do something then, he has to manually uninstall all the other mods before it, because WeiDUs re-auto installation would skip the procedure neutrowave might wish to do before the Worldmap mod reinstallation...

Sorry, I don't understand this long sentence (to hard for my beginner english :D ).
If someone wants to reinstall a mod, the process is the following:

This is the installation order for example:
- BG2 Fixpack
- BGT
- DSotSC
- BGT Tweaks
- Worldmap
- BGT NPC Portraits
- BP-Balancer

If someone wants to reinstall the worldmap and starts the setup-bp-bgt-worldmap.exe, at first WeiDU will uninstall BP-Balancer and BGT-NPC-Portraits, reinstall BP-BGT-Worldmap with the options the gamer choose. After the reinstallation of the BP-BGT-Worldmap, BGT-NPC-Portraits and BP-Balancer will be installed automatically again, so after that the installationorder and the WeiDU.log is the same again.

@ neutrowave
Can you post your new WeiDU.log?

Greetings Leomar
A Megamod does not mean that you can play all of the mods or all of their content,
but you have more choices or paths through the game.

I know it's hard to understand, and so I'll move on to your example and try to say this easily...
So back to the uninstallation of the Worldmap mod - If we uninstall the Worldmap mod, we then can't quit the process to make some changes to it, before the WeiDU reinstalls all the other mod that were after the Worldmap mod. And when we quit it, the WeiDU just skips the Worldmap mod and/or it's components and reinstalls everything after... making the carefully constructed auto-installation process not standard anymore.

After a few days, I see, that is much happened in this forum. To much that I can handle it in one or two days. So sorry, if I can't answer all BWP questions at the moment. I hope that not all topics have unanswered questions. :(

I try to manage my best. :D --->And thus it shouldn't be.

So is it not enough to unzip all the compressed mod files into the BGII - SoA folder (yeah, i handle the NSIS installers like the pdf instructions instructs to), and run the BWP fixpack before proceed with the usual installation? Sorry, i'm a little puzzled.

No it's not, as that's the weight you carry if you don't use the auto-install.bats... if you wish to have almost bug free game.

Taerum (Beregost smithy) change Wyvern's head into armor 'Wyvern's Scale"

Also I see Taerum can make a "The Eyes of Truth"
