10.01. BG1 Unfinished Business (BG1UB) v7
were added by the Important News.
@ who_is_danielI REALLLLLLLY want NO RESTRICTIONS, so what would happen if I installed it, would the game crash at the Chapter 5 battle? Would they just be wearing better gear?
That are no game play restrictions. These are important compatibility restrictions. If you remove them, you will get problems and could destroy your whole installation.
@ From the install PDF file V5.7:

Ashes of Embers Very important to me to install:

14 Sensible weapon restrictions for SoA (non-mod weapons)
15 Sensible weapon restrictions for ToB (non-mod weapons)"
And it looks like according to the Bigworld installl.bat

@ PinchItI don't have SCSI installed so the installer will not skip this component, so I will have to adjust the installer file if I still do not want this component.
If you don't want this component, then all is fine. Otherwise you must add the component number 3080 in the following line in the Install.bat:DavidWallace

Could you re-edit it again and use the one I send PMd you ... and report of further problems if you have any. Or not...Above post edited, red text is me.
Copy the code, not the words, by quoting them... so I guess I'll have to:
@ who_is_daniel
This and your text above this sentence sounds like you have installed manually or have not installed the BiG World Fixpack, because the "Item Revisions" fix for the "High Hedge CTD" is included in the recent version of the BW Fixpack. Also when I go to High Hedge I keep getting "An Assertion failed in CHVidImage3d.cpp at line number 899" click ok and program has crashed, Happens every time.

Remove the component number in the Install.bat. All component numbers are listed in the BWP guide, so you can see, which component number it is.Also how do I not install the option for no perminate NPC deaths, I actualy like having the perminat death, it really adds a feeling of danger and excitement into the game.

I just wanted to let you know that I've updated aTweaks to v2.0. Note that this release introduces several new components which might be relevant for the BWP batch installer. The ID numbers of the old components from v1.1. haven't changed though (thanks to the DESIGNATED WeiDU function).
Furthermore, as of v2.0, if aTweaks detects other mods which have similar content as one of its components, it won't needlessly duplicate the changes but it won't prevent its own component from installing either. For example, the changes from the aTweaks component "Magical arrows and bolts deal bonus damage equal to their enchantment level" are already present in the main component of Item Revisions. So, if you install aTweaks after Item Revisions, that aTweaks component won't actually do anything except display this feedback string:
* * * This component is already present in one of the mods that you are currently using. Preventing unnecessary content duplication. * * *
As you can see, all aTweaks components were specifically coded in this manner and now contain several redundancy checks in order to accommodate BWP batch installs. I call this method "stealth compatibility". That way, you don't have to worry about the compatibility between aTweaks and mods which contain similar components. aTweaks does that automatically for you now, without skipping over its own components, so that players who don't use both mods can still get the full benefits. For best results, install aTweaks as late as possible, even after BGT Tweaks and BG2 Tweaks. In short, you can always safely install every single component of aTweaks regardless of other mods which might contain similar content.

From a fresh install with the mod files and BWP fixpack in it. Yes, it automates the whole installation process...But tell me when I should install this BIG Installpack.
So you need to restart. Sorry, but the info is in the first 14 pages of the .pdf.

Wow. What for a compatible mod you have created... Wonderful.
Thanks for all your work you put into your great mods.
@ Goatsepupu
We have had this random CTD in the German forum in the past. Have you tried it several times? As we tried to solve this problem, this problem doesn't happen again by the gamers. One gamer was so fast and reinstalled the megamod and he has not the CTD again. My game crashes when I'm leaving Candle Keep in the first chapter..
Before you try to leave Candlekeep again, do the following:
Open with a text-editor the baldur.ini in your BG2 main directory and add by [Program Options] Logging On=1
Start your game and load your savegame. If you get a CTD again post the content of the baldur.err.

Well well..I disabled all the ambient sounds and i tried now again leaving from candlekeep and I noticed that fog of war was different and there were black boxes top of butterflies..however I succeeded leaving from candlekeep and it only "lagged" when I moved my mouse. Actually it only "lagged" too when I tried my first install. I did extended install then and now I did standard. So the result was different. Quess I have to Install the whole thing again..huoh..Back to here, if i can't get it work..

For the black boxes NVidia 8000+ cards...
And for the lagging:
Did you disable the ambient sounds and use the biffing?
More...PS, you need to do the last part before you install the Widescreen mod.0. Always patch the game(s) with the latest patch, start a new game and exit after the game has auto-saves itself(so you have to make a char or choose a pre-made one), before you do any moding, and you might as well make a safe backup from the important files: data and override folders, baldur.exe, BGMain.exe, dialog.tlk and CHITIN.key .
1. Put the ambient sounds off from the BGConfic.exe, as some of the areas might have no ambient sounds and so the game tries to start them many time continuously, and so looses processing power.
2. Don't mess with the game configurations so the speed adjustment percentages stay on "normal" ratings even if you have very high end machine, as the game has own it's internal fps counter, it sometimes tries to correct the fps on it's own by lowering graphs etc. Also the games frame rate should be set to about 30, as that's the default.
3. I wouldn't recommend to install any of the speaking item mods, as they run their scripts and fire their comments everywhere, and that's bad for the fps(frames/second count).
4. Delete the old files from the Cache folder time to time.
5. Inventory management(no stacks that have more than about 200 items, in a bag, arrows etc.), -might help.
6. Trying to avoid too many effects on a character(about 20 is fine, 200 is too many, and 20 000 is way way too many...)
7. De-fragmenting your hard drive might also help... as you don't have to go find the data in the pieces. (hmm, there is a joke in there, hih)
8. Install the mods in correct order, and make sure you started from a clean install, so there is no leftovers from old mods, by deleting the old mod files, the data and override folders(don't go and overwrite them), helpful links for for Tutu and BGT(the .pdf files) -based Megamods.
9. It might be a good idea to biff your override folder, but do that knowing that you generally can't change the game much after. Or use the End_biff from here.

By using the End_biff WeiDU mod. You better do that after you have installed every mod except the Widescreen one, cause you want to use the biffing the modified files, not the originals. How do I "BIFF" my Files? or Override directory?
Of course you can do this in WeiDU, by starting the WeiDU.exe(it has to be names as WeiDU.exe), and after you push the Enter few times to get the console to write on, you put this code in it:
--make-biff OverrideWhere the "Override" is the directory you wish to make as a biff off. Now after that you can't unbiff the files without reference loose, so you better use the End_biff as it can be uninstalled, or just remake the whole BWP process...
