Anyone know which exact item you need to hold on to in order to do the quest later?
I've been searching around, and the only thing I've found is that you need to hold on to something from Ravel's garden - no information at all about what exactly it is.

One of the barbed seeds she gives you. Careful, they can be converted into barbed wands or scribed as a spell. You need to save one.

BTW, I didn't make this up, this is in the original game. I just expand the use of it.
