So are you saying that I could install those mods and then do the BigWorld/Picture/Thing? Install Tactics, Spell 50, and then Kelsey and then on with the Auomatic Installer so IT it amend the Tactics mod.... ? Would that work? I feel like Minsc... so easily confused by this... I just need a little outside advice.

I see no reason why this should not work. However, I haven't tried it using BWP. Neither have Jarno or Leomar. (I have done it using manual installation). It would be great if they would explain exactly, with facts and not opinion, why it will or will not work.

In the end, you have to decide for yourself if you want to try out such a combo.

To clarify some mis-information reported above, you can indeed play with Tactics, BP, SCS and other AI mods, all together with no problems (if installed correctly). They each do AI differently, even if their components share the same names. Depending on how installed, either the later-installed mods will overwrite preceding ones; or, their changes will overlap making for some interesting AI combo.

I think it's time for you to pause and consider what you want in your game. As you're learning, modding a BG game can be as simple, or as complicated, as you wish. Also, you're getting seemingly conflicting information, and definitely some mis-information, in just this one thread. Plus not all the descriptions here have been as precise as they should be. No wonder new players get so confused.

You have 3 choices for installation method: BWP, EasyTutu or custom. Based on your first post, I presume mod incompatibility concerns are leading you to use BWP. Bravo.

BWP (and Tutu) are well-supported, where bugs and incompats are addressed fairly quickly--BWP more so, just because there are more people actively involved. However, as you are now seeing, BWP is not as straightforward or clear-cut as some would advertise.

If you deviate from established BWP process, you will increase the chance of later gameplaying problem. Let me repeat and be even more clear about this (because no one else in this thread is doing so): it does not mean that you will have problems later; it means the chance of having later problems will increase. It's possible you will not, it's possible you will.

From this point on, make a stand:
If you want a quick, out-of-the-box game, go with the standard BWP. It may mean you can't play with all your choice mods.
If you want a more nuanced game, try a customized BWP. You'll have to handhold the installation more, and be more aware of possible gameplaying problems.
Or ignore all and try another installation method.

Whatever you do, it's your decision.
