Finally, they're up! :D All 3 uploaded mods are now Version 3. (Tweak Pack is upgraded to 3.5)

Download page here:

http://www.shsforums...m...&showcat=14

Attached are the finalized, official readmes for the mods. (K'aeloree, these are what should get posted to the website, if you would, please, and thank you kindly)

Enjoy! And please do let me know how you liked 'em! And please, do try out the UB Expanded Deionarra's Truth mod... even Chris Avellone and Colin McComb liked the ideas (and Colin gave thumbs up to the dialogue too, don't think Chris got to read it yet), and if I get positive player feedback for it as well, then I'll even do the Expanded Pendant of Yemeth quest someday, I have what I think are some good ideas for it.

When talking to Dhall, the line "That question was but the first, Dhall. There is much I wish to know..." appears twice in the menu (both result in the same answers).

The option about looking for Adahn doesn't show up when the Dustmen guards initiate dialogue with you, but it does the second time when TNO is the one that starts the talk. Is this normal/intended?

Good on you for the very hard work! While I won't br able to play these again, I will let my brother play them (he has not played PST before) and I am sure he will get an incredible experience from playing these games at up to their maximum potential (well 97% maximum I am sure - I guess there would allways be modifications/tweaks etc. in the future, but not for some time yet!)

Kind regards,
Gorion ;).

Congratulations! I am a longtime lurker on this board and elsewhere where Torment modding has been going on, because it is my favorite game of all times. Glad to see that the game is finally getting the love that it deserves. If you look at what has been done for some other old-school role-playing games this game didn't compare particularly favorably until recently. Sure, some things had been done over the years, but almost nobody cared to make them fully compatible with other mods using weidu like you did. And on top of that you even added gazillion fixes of your own and even got an engine genius on boat. Now, if only something could be done about issues with newer Nvidia cards the game would finally sit proudly on the throne it belongs to.

Uh oh. This is a telltale sign that you installed the mod twice, somehow. Did you uninstall your previous install first?

I do recommend applying the new mods over a totally fresh install.

Unfortunately, the NVIDIA issues are with DirectX 8 and I can't really fix this without having one of the affected cards. So unless someone wants to buy me one, my advice is to complain to NVIDIA.

For the record, I seemed to encounter a lot less problems with graphics issues using thebigg's widescreen mod and ghostdog's UI. Not sure why this would be, but yeah, it seemed to cure about 80-90% of the problem this time around. The game looks a lot better most of the time too. This is only offset by the fact that using the widescreen slightly spoils some cutscenes because you can see stuff around the edges you weren't supposed to... nothing that can really be done about that.

I also use widescreen mod and ghostdog's user interface, because i have a widescreen lcd and not using that screen real estate would be a waste. I must say that the game is much, much more enjoyable when played this way and really does the artwork and prerendered backgrounds justice. Awesome job thebigg and ghostdog! Luckily half of the Nvidia issue (fog of war consisting of black boxes) is avoidable by going into menu once and then getting back to game. The other half, e.g. black boxes around inventory items and some other minor transparency issues are not game breaking, but still somewhat irritating. As for getting nvidia to do something about this i really doubt they would even bother. They don't seem to give rats ass about supporting classic games. Then again from what i have seen Infinity Engine community has not pestered them much besides an occasional thread or two in the forums. I wouldn't put my hopes up even when there was a more organized movement to get them to do something about this as fans of other classic games that nvidia-s new drivers/hardware has rendered unplayable have tried but mostly in vain. Which is a shame really, they were once a company known for solid drivers. Oh well...

Just as an additional note for those of you trying to do a "clean install" before applying these mods:

If you're doing it to the same directory as an old install, you'll want to manually clean out the /override directory as part of your uninstall of the old game. Neither the uninstall or install procedures for the game itself will clean up that directory for you, you have to do it yourself.

Uninstalling the old mods with WeiDU before uninstalling the game should have most of the same effect... but still, won't hurt to clean out the override folder, just to be safe.

If you leave the override files from an old install there, then the weidu.log and other debug information will still show only one installation, but in fact the previous modifications will still also be there and you'll still have applied most things twice.
