Sorry for late replies guys and girls 8)

Here has guguma posted a bug about the "... Force Missiles" spells:
http://www.shsforums...showtopic=40630

Greetings Leomar

I am familiar with the post. Leomar, how common is this? If you have it as well on your new install please post the weidu log. There is an incompatibility somewhere but I have had another mod with "Darkness radius 30 ft" (?) spell duplicating code numbers in Spell.IDS. In my install, it overwrote a CtB spell as well. Easy fix is to adjust the spell number code as the lines were not getting overwritten but then the spell number (SPWIxxx) will have to change to match the code in the IDS.

Let's find out what the incompatibility is and then we will see who fixes it :P If you have two mods append the same spell code to the IDS the one installed last wins the spell identification and usage. :shifty:

@ Ascalagon el Negro

One text mistake:

ALUST01.tra

@2 = ~Who are you, elf?~

Alustriel isn't a elf, is a human female:

http://forgottenreal.../wiki/Alustriel

Namárië.

Will change and thanks! :coolthumb: It shall say:

1) ~Who are you?~

Sorry, not the Darkest Day item. It is Freedoms Reign/ of Virtue mod. I will share my thoughts and I believe the item would work better with AC versus missiles rather than 100% missile resistance and with the latter, it constantly adjusts thus creating the st-st-stutter.

I made this mistake before calling it a TDD item but it is FR/RoV as the prefix DEitm... is FR/RoV for Deano.

[quote name='OneEyedPhoenix' post='463213' date='Sep 21 2009, 07:29 AM']I don't know if this has been reported before, but TDD should make the following changes to dialog.tlk to reflect the changes it does to WSPATCK.2DA and WSPECIAL.2DA.

[codebox]StringRef: 9588

You have been given proficiencies to start your character with. These represent the ability to effectively use weapons. You may choose from any of the selectable proficiencies available to your character class. A fighter character will be able to choose the same proficiency up to five times. This will grant additional levels of specialization with the weapon listed. Keep in mind that a character can use any weapon available to their race and class whether proficient with it or not. However, there will be a minus to the attack roll if the character attacks with a non-proficient weapon.

Proficiency Slot Table:
1 slot: none
2 slots: +1 to hit, +2 to damage, an extra half attack.
3 slots: +2 to hit, +2 to damage, an extra half attack.
4 slots: +2 to hit, +3 to damage, an extra half attack. -1 to speed
5 slots: +2 to hit, +4 to damage, an extra half attack. -3 to speed

Thanks OneEyedPhoenix and I will look into how I can do it. Do you know if the change is in the TP2 like a replace textually? If not it is no big deal I am just unaware of how TDD makes the change to the text but I know it mods the tables.

I will research it 8)

Nope, I couldn't find any of this in the tp2 so I don't think it's as simple as a replace text. (Though I just did text search, so I might have missed it)

Well editing original strings in the dialog.tlk may be harder than we think if possible at all. I will have to look into this one but that is vanilla text. I will check with some other mods that I think do similar things.

Apart from that, new strings can be added but this specific thing is displayed in a CHU file I believe (character creation) so this will be a brain teaser for now. If someone can supply code for me to try than I will be more than happy to test it out.

Either replacing existing dialog.tlk strings or modifying the CHU files.

EDIT: :woot:

I think it may be easier than I anticipated since many big mods replace textually the "Play Shadows of Amn<TM> with the new area of Watcher's Keep Dungeon" with "Play Shadows of Amn<TM> with the new area of Watcher's Keep Dungeon and Big Picture, The Darkest Day, etc....)

I want to make sure the tables in TDD are matching the description. If other mods alter the tables further or differently than it will be an incompatibility with TDD.

We discussed it briefly here.

In the BWS at least it looks like TDD is the only mod allowed to modify the tables.

SPMI144.spl isn't currently in the TDD package :o Would that code fragment work if the BWP guys include it in the Fixpack?? (or are you updating soon?? ;))

Cheers,

I made the spell and same for the Weird spell that overwrites QUICK_TELEPORT which made a cutscene in Region of Terror really screwed up. Don't know if you remember that one or not.

COPY ~TDD/SPL/SPMI145.spl~ ~TDD-SPL~ //Restores QUICK_TELEPORT to Spell.ids and was messing things up with the Weird spell
  SAY NAME1 @20894
  SAY UNIDENTIFIED_DESC @20895

So SPWI938 needs to be renamed to SPMI144

SPWI926 is renamed to SPMI145

This will eliminate any overwriting and uses more signature TDD spell naming. I was just trying organize changes and if people want to apply the changes to their own install, they are more than welcome. The changes are at line 9019 and are the two blocks that say "~TDD-SPL~ //ToB has it but not uses, this one is 100% different"

(or are you updating soon?? wink.gif)

I think the plan is soon for the update if the french translation is done.

You might want to wait to make these changes as I may have to make script adjustments for the final quest because of the change in the Weird spell and the Anti0MAgic cloud. Also these changes will mess up some things in BPseries scripts (only a couple maybe) and possibly Big Picture's AI.

This area crash is reproduced in every version I have. This is beyond me to fix and I think it may be a Tileset problem. I cast a fireball effect type spell over the table in the middle and I get a crash with the same error. However I do know that the crash will not happen if the party can cross the area by going north in front of the invisible monster. Casting Prot from Evil helps to avoid the demons and any type of invisibility on all party members will work to avoid the devastating spells cast by the invisible monster.

http://www.shsforums...&...st&p=439837

The workaround is the best I can do for now.

Any progress with the bug-fixes? I'd be especially interested in a fix for the weird spell, as this spell also causes some of the doppelganger movements in Durlags Tower to look quite weird.
Normally those doppelgangers use quick_teleport to move around, with TDD installed they only cast weird on themselves.

The two overwriting spells are fixed for the upcoming version so there won't be any misuse of those two spells (Weird and Anti-Magic cloud). I took a break after finishing the CtB update and during the holidays and plan to return to TDD this week with all the cumulative fixes of mine and Isaya's. We both tested the TP2 and both added changes before Christmas but I need to change texts and also have translators update TRA files where appropriate. It will be at least a week depending on how everything works with a final test.

We have covered a lot int his thread and we wanted to make the new version have as many fixes as possible and I didn't want tons of individual fixes and files splattered all over the place.

I can send you a preliminary next version TDD.rar to check things if you wish. Just PM me.

I think finding a bug in ARPO28.
There is an object that can be clicked.
If I approach to click that obeject from at the top of table, it doesn't matter.
But, if I approach from the below of table, it arises bug displayed "chvidpoly.cpp at line of 523".
Then BGII would be finished, by force.
I can't fight monsters of the last puzzle.
When I am in the below from the table, I am kicked out.

Translators for Polish, Russian and German. Can anyone translate the strings for the next TDD update, please? Just some additional changes so all languages are updated?

Some are already done for French (Isaya) strings I have added may not appear right away in the upcoming version.

@Isaya

Is there anything pertinent to add that I may have left out?

@Ilot

You have some of the updates form Isaya's files but I will need the others sometime while you are doing your translation work.

Thanks to all!

Hi Hoppy,

here is the German translation.
Don't wonder about the difference between the English and the German text. The official translaters of BG had been often not very near to the origin text. So I only changed the values in their translation.

KIVOGREX

@7 = ~Kommt, lasst uns weitermachen und diese Bestien zurücklassen, wo sie es verdienen, zu sein.~

DDINN01

@7 = ~Wer ist Pascha Salam?~

ORGOTH01
