@all for dnd: If you don't know how to patch the exe yourself, upload it to something like zshare or megaupload and I'll patch it for you. Oh, I'll also need the res you're playing the game at.

One question scient, is the pattern the same for both cd versions?
Yep, I made sure of this before posting. You only have to make sure that WeiDu searches for each set of bytes until it gets both occurrences. I'm not sure how to do this offhand, I know Qwinn has done something similar for a couple of my own fixes.

I'm a hexadecimal virgin... so MANY THANKS!
But eh... I don't quite know how to use zshare or megaupload, can I just upload it here?

Ghostdog, pretty sure I already showed you how to do this and that you're actually already doing it yourself, but if you need help with it let me know.

sure thing qwinn
Wow finally found this thread... might want to give Bigg a heads up since this seems to be something inherent to his mod.

I'm using the 2CD version with a full install on my computer, and have applied both the Fix Pack and the later FixBeta, as well as the Restoration pack.
I've installed the G3 widescreen mod as well as GhostDog's PST UI v1. I've set the resolution to 1280x1024 and everything else looks to be working perfectly except for this mouse scrolling.
I've tried reading through the messages over and over, but I can't quite understand how to go about this. I couldn't find a cursarw.bam nor a wmcpntr.bam in any of the folders. Are they supposed to be in the install folders as separate files or am I supposed to open up the exe with something instead?
Thanks in advance for any advice and thank you for all work you've already done.

Is there a reason why you are using these old mods and not Qwinn's fixpack/unfinished business?

They are the ones I came across at sorcerers.net, I apparently haven't been very well informed on what I should have done before starting.
Is Unfinished Business safe to install mid game or should I start over or uninstall something first?
As for my exe, I've uploaded it here:

EDIT:
I'm reading up on the Fixpack and the other two mods and looks like I should just backup my save, do a fresh install and then apply the patches and the resolution/UI mods. I assume the patched exe you're making for me will still work, right?

Ya, you need to start a new game. There is so much new content compared to old mods it is well worth it. Yep. Do a clean install, apply fixpack then UB and any of the tweaks (I'd recommend scale of souls and banter accelerator). Then apply any of UI mods (bigg's WS mod and ghostdog's UI). After you've done all that, upload new exe here and I'll patch it for scrolling bit. The fixpack patches the exe as part of my engine fixes so it won't be the same.

Yeah. Did a fresh install, luckily I wasn't that far into the game so it didn't take too long to get back to where I was.
And the new exe is here:

I patched it using 1280x1024 values. If you run into any problems let me know.

Thank you so much, it's working perfectly now!
Are you considering making some kind of tutorial so people can fix this on their own if needed? I can't imagine all for dnd and I are the only ones who got this issue, and it'd be a hassle to patch everyone's exe.
