Yes, I have bought the game, it is sitting in front of me, before you start.
How would I (using Daemon-Tools) get my disc images to work for the game?

Still need help for this? i use deamon tools a lot, have you made images from the discs yet?

Yeah, for the play disk only though. I will try again emulating everything instead. I'll let you know if it works.

yeah, making images is easy and using Daemon-Tools is fairly self explanatory, you should be pretty fine

What I was more concerned about is that even though I had the disc mounted, it wouldn't recognize it.

No, even when using DAEMON to emulate everything, it still will not work.

I have an image made from my own disk, which won't play the game based on disk checks. (I'm not THAT much of an idiot 
)
I just checked the .ini to see if there is a CD path there, to no avail.

If KoTOR does the same thing that the BG games do, then it is looking for the play disc from the same drive where the game was installed from. So if you installed from an actual drive and are attempting to play from a virtual drive, then it won't work.

I am quite sure Icendoan has gained an effective solution for his problem... a long time ago. 
But I am also quite sure that even if he would install the game from the virtual drive, it wouldn't solve the problem.

When I first tried, I did mess around in the INI a little, the same as I do for the BG games. Anyway, I have a full install of the BG series, so I don't need to repoint it all.
