I like WeeR's, too. Poor Khalid looks like he is not quite sure who of that two he should be afraid the most.

But I adore his facial expression - certainly some kind of 'I won't bite if you don't touch me'-look.
Simply hilarious.
And WeeRLegion, I almost pity Khalid for being caught in between for Jaheira's eyes and wild hair makes her look like
a) a berserker
b) a medusa
and I cannot say which one would be less threatening to have for a wife
Great scene.

@Ranya
You don't think Jaheira IS something of a berserker? At least a good candidate for education! .p

WeeRLegion, they look great in cooperation!

Perhaps something like 'permanently worried and notoriously nagging druid armed with quarterstaff and ready to bite off heads if necessary'. ?

I have just realized that the challenge is 'They come in Pairs' and not 'They come in PARIS'. Which, BTW, sounded like a very interesting topic...
nice entries Bardess and Legion ;-)
BTW Legion, your pic made me understand that PARIS was *not* involved in the challenge

...for the terrible crime of making me interpret "come in Paris" in ways better not left to human imagination, I am going to have to do something really unpleasant to you as soon as I stop throwing up.
Thanks a lot.

Actually, we seem to be getting ever so slightly off topic, and should probably return to either A, drawing things or B, talking about things people have drawn.

I dare say it does look quite good to mine eyes. @_@
Of course, by tomorrow I'll probably start noticing the mistakes. I mean, hell, I was 3/4 asleep during most of the coloring process, but whatever. .p
I do think you might recognize the characters.
UPDATED*3:
BIGGER Version
Old version
*Removed the caption, felt it was kinda spoiling the feel of the pic. .p
*Fixed the fire, I had the color progression upside down. And wrong to boot. Also fixed ground lighting by korgan's boots. xP

The only criticism I can find with it is this: Korgan's right limbs appear to be significantly thicker than his left. Was this done for perspective? To make it appear as though his right side is closer to the viewer than his left? If so, I think you overdid it just a tad.

It's rather long arms, even for a dwarf.
Well, but if you take a look at real people who are affected by dwarfism, you'll see that their arms tend to be disproportionately long compared to their bodies. I'm not sure if that applies to the dwarven race of the Forgotten Realms, but I'll give WeeR the benefit of the doubt on that one.

Took a good while making that, so I'm very glad to hear you guys like it.
Yeahh. I'm seeing it better, now... Think the right arm is a little bit overdone.
I intentionally drew it a bit longer than normal human proportions; dwarves in fantasy artwork often do have longish arms, and comparatively heavy build otherwise.
But er, yeahh, it's a slgiht bit overdone.
Hm, guess, I could also have tried figuring out a better texture for the dirt patch there, the lack of detail on it kinda makes Korgan and Mazzy pop out a bit too much.
EDIT: Did a quick fix for the arm. It's a slight bit lighter now.
Fixed
