If you have this box: http://www.amazon.co...C/dp/B000FGA1US
everything should be fine. If you have a different one, then you should probably ask if anyone, having your same box, reports issues.

I use the 4 in 1 box and for me everything works just fine. However (sorry) it seems to be the case that some of the more recent versions of this box do in fact cause problems. I think due to the not copying of some files. Some people over at the German forum reported issues, and they had in fact a newer version of this box than me.

I think i have the same box with you (It is exacty the same with the pic in the link). And in fact everything works fine for me too (at least on a quick walk for testing purposes) , i never reported any issues. So i guess i am lucky enough to have the older version too and no problems at all! Yey!

Thanks for the confirmation Marvin!

I have a problem however:
I have followed your instructions but when I run the install.bat for Big World and choose english its says "Access Denied"
I read your error report in the manual however I can assure that the game is not running (even shut down and restart just in case).
I did, however run the fix pack before hand is that a problem?
Makes me want to cry after spending all these hours just to get denied

yes, that would probably be the source of your problem.I did, however run the fix pack before hand is that a problem?
Time to...
1) Uninstall BGII, clear the game directory, and install everything back etc.
2) Delete the game directory if you have clean backup, and copy paste it over...

So just to be clear, when installing:
Baldurs Gate + TotSC + Patch
Baldurs Gate 2 + TOB + Patch (98, not 99 as well)
Start up both games
Unpack everything including G3 and .exe mods into a separate folder
Move them all over to SoA folder
Run the install.bat and your done?
Also what about baldurdash? Do I have to download and unpack that as well?

Anyways, I have done a complete and fresh uninstall, and install of BG2,ToB,Patch
Followed the instructions to the letter (even removed my cd's).
Still when I run the install bat it says Access Denied. I don't get it anymore this is what I have done:
Installed Baldurs Gate + TotSC + Updated with latest patch
Installed Baldurs Gate 2: SoA + ToB + Updated to 26498 (am I supposed to update to 26499 as well? I didn't)
Unpacked all the mods (all the ones in bright except anomen removel one) from this page
http://www.kerzenbur...ead.php?t=34931
Moved all the mods to my SoA folder and backed up my Dialog.tlk (just in case)
Downloaded and unpacked all the BG files and tools as well as weimer etc as per the above link and manual
Double clicked the 5.5.2 install bat pressed E for english then it comes up Access Denied.
Am I missing something? A step maybe?
Thanks in Advance.
Edit- Oh I am also running Vista 64 if that makes a difference.

Just that you are running Vista! You need to do 3 things.Am I missing something? A step maybe?
Edit- Oh I am also running Vista 64 if that makes a difference.
To get around that you just have to know to:
1) Turn off the Windows User Account Control.
2) Install the game to other than the normal C:\Program Files\ -subfolder. (for example C:\Games\BGII\ )
3) Put off the new directory's Read-only function just 1's.

I think you have the same problem as xenophon has had. Could it be that you have Vista 64, too.
Follow xenophon's and Jarno's post and all should be fine.

By copying the BGII directory to a different folder (and then correcting the baldur.ini's [Alias]- header to point to the right directory...) and the BGIIFixpack -mod into the same separate folder, and then installing the BGIIfixpack. This will give you a WeiDU.log, which you then open with a text editor, you should see something alike:I have a curiosity... how can I check if I made the mistake of running the fixpack before the install? I am almost sure I didn't do this but I can't remember and I want to be absolutely sure.
And if it has the 6.1 at the end of the line, the BWP Fixpack has already been applied... which is bad thing.~BG2FIXPACK/SETUP-BG2FIXPACK.TP2~ #0 #0 // BG2 Fixpack - Core Fixes: 6.1

Well, if you install the unpatched(by the BWP Fixpack) BG2Fixpack, you won't get the 6.1 notice in the line(the BG2Fixpack installation line.)... so I am kinda... but it's a way to detect if you made the mistake of installing the BWP Fixpack...Ok thank you for the info, but something is not so clear about what you are saying- more precise I am talking about BWP Fixpack, but you talk about BGII Fixpack...

~BG1UB/SETUP-BG1UB.TP2~ #0 #0 // Ice Island Level Two Restoration: BWP v6 Fix
etc.
But next time, be sure, to start only the Install.bat, which calls the BW Fixpack.

I'm having a bit of trouble getting trough the installer. I have a fresh install of both BGI and II, with both expansions and the required patches. I have followed the instructions to the letter, but somehow the install.bat just stalls on me.
First it was after fixing up several mods (I remember seeing BD and Tweaks), but then it just stops at "copying files" without doing anything. I exited the installer and restarted, now it proceeds directly to the Fixpack but this time its stalling on "processing fixes for "AD&L"". I know the installation is supposed to take a while, but I'm getting a bit paranoid at the lack of progress....
This megamod really looks cool and might be just what I'm looking for, so I hope I can get it working.
Any tips?
Thanks in advance!

However, I never even got to the BGT stage. I think it's trying to patch the BWP Fixpack to the different mods, except it doesn't do anything. I had the installer running for over an hour and it never progressed beyond a certain point.
Guess I'll do a reinstall of BGII then (that'll teach me not to back up...), maybe a reinstall of the Fixpack will resolve the issue as well.

Don't install any other files than the BWP Autoinstaller, as that launches everything else while it's rolling!!!!Guess I'll do a reinstall of BGII then (that'll teach me not to back up...), maybe a reinstall of the Fixpack will resolve the issue as well.

I'm once again stuck at the same point. I start the Autoinstaller, everything is fine until I click go and it starts to run the fixpack. It managed to patch aD&L, but now it just stopped halfway through bg1ub.
I don't know what I'm doing wrong here, but the fixpack just won't run...
Using XPSP3 by the way.
