Now we have the confirmation, that the whole components of [Smarter Mages], [Smarter Priests] and [Potions for NPCs] of SCS are bugged. For more informations look into the SCS Forum.

Before you use the Install.bat you must delete 5022, 5032 and 5042 in the following lines to avoid the components:

The installer simulates an input "1" For this reason a file named "1" had been created in your main directory.
If you want an input "4" instead, you only must create a file named "4", then open this file and type "4" and "return", save it.
Now you can run your batch file and you will get what you want.

@ 123popo

Also would the new updated fixpack work with BWP 5.5? My saved games are 5.5 so I don't want to start over again with a new game in 5.5.1, but then again, I would like to take advantage of the new fixes.

We have no experience with that and would not recommended it. In v5.5.1 there are some fixes only, so you can go on with your save without changing anything.

@ Guest

the downloadlink for 24.01. Unique Containers (Beta) v2 seems to be dead.

We have had this before and after some time, the link worked again. There are problems with Milochs homepage, like you can read here. At the moment the only thing we can do is to wait, that Miloch's homepage get online again.

also, both links of turnabout aren't silvered (expert), one has the beginning of the bbcode, but not the end, the other none at all, at the linklist.

Thanks, we have corrected that.

finally a question, do i have to disable the expert mods in the auto install .bat?
i.e. delete everything related to ascension, since it IS in the list, much like i delete everything german/french/othernonenglish in it?

You don't need it. You can choose a standard or an expert installation with the installer, like you can choose if you want an English or an German installation. And the installer installs only the mods you put extracted in your BG2 main directory.

@ Usurper

I have a question about 11.14. Sylmar Battlefield v1.025. Why is this mod considered to be in the expert version? Are there any bugs or incompatibilities?

Unfortunately, in-game bugs.

@ TP1 - Check
Silly, silly mistake. Very sorry for that. The Setup-TP.exe is a German mod only and we forgot to make the check for German installations only. :(

But don't use the BG1 or BG2 Textpatch by MK. It will destroy your whole installation, because it fixes/corrects the German Text in BG for German versions like "BG2 Fixpack" does it with the "Text Update" for English versions.

To avoid this during the installation change that:

pause

GOTO :startBG1

:TP1CHECK
%IF% "Baldur's Gate\Setup-TP.exe" GOTO :TOBCHECK
%.%
%.%
%.%
%.%
%.%
%.%
%.%
%.%
%.%
%.%
%.% T P 1 - C H E C K
%.%							  =================
to that:

pause

GOTO :startBG1

:TP1CHECK
%IF% "BGII - SoA" GOTO :TOBCHECK
%IF% "Baldur's Gate\Setup-TP.exe" GOTO :TOBCHECK
%.%
%.%

@ Usurper

Also Amber the NPC mod was missing a file and rolled its installation back as well. I couldn't figure out why before it scrolled out of my sight.

For this cases you can look into the "BiG World Debug.txt" which is created in the BG2 main directory during the installation. You will find all informations from the DOS-Window in this text-file.

@ BGT BG1 directory entries
If you have problems with the installation path of BG1 for BGT, the easiest way to fix this is, when you enter your BG1 path in the install.bat and saves it.

%IFES%BGT%S%BGT%L%0 --force-install 0 --args-list sp "C:\Program Files\Black Isle\Baldur's Gate" | %M%
Your installation path and entry could look like this:

%IFES%BGT%S%BGT%L%0 --force-install 0 --args-list sp "C:\Black Isle\BG1" | %M%

The Collector's Edition Bonus Merchants are listed in two places in the guide, Baldurdash and BG2 Tweaks. The merchants aren't installed inBaldurdash, but when the guide gets to BG2 Tweaks it says that the item is skipped over because they have already been installed by another mod. So is there another mod that sneaks them in or is this just a slight oversight?

BG2 Tweaks skipped the bonus merchants before we included Baldurdash. We don't really know which mods bring them into the game. It could be TDD or other big mods. i.e. TDD is bringing much to BG like the Bluchers unnerved spell tables, which are included in BG2 Tweaks, too. If you're unsure insert the component number 1170 of the bonus merchants of BG2 Tweaks in the install.bat. If you have the merchants already, the component will be skipped.

Because of all the problems since the last days, we will see how fast we can upload a corrected Installpack.
Thanks for your reports.

Ok thanks. In retrospect, I should have known enough about commandprompt to figure that one out. As a slight reccomendation, you probably should include info about doing that in the guide(unless it already is in there.....in which case oops :whistling: ).

Actually it would be far more informative to put that in the .bat file... and it has hints of such, but no real explanation.

Oh two things I forgot to mention in my last post, firstly if anyone else had this problem a work around(if you want faster romances) that I saw mentioned elsewhere was to use the CLUAConsole code, AdvanceRealTime(XXXX) to speed thing up.

Secondly does anyone know Eldoth's .cre file name? I booted him from the party but he vanished instead of staying put and giving me the option to send him to an inn.

It's "eldotd", "eldoth" or "eldoth5". Or all of them, it won't be the same though...

Now, Leonardo has updated the "BiG World Project" to v5.5.2 and the "BiG World Fixpack" to v6.04. Most of the reported issues in this thread are corrected. Thank you for testing the BWP and reporting the issues with v5.5.1.

See the first post for what's new in v5.5.2.

Greetings Leomar

gonna retry with those, however, i've a couple of question.
in the mods not in bg2folder list, i see allison NPC, using standard install, but she's gray in the linklist, which is right?
same thing for npc tweak, the vault, wikaede revisited and sylmar battlefield.
i'm not planning to install kim, since she's not available in english, does it suffice to just not put the mod in the folder, or do i have to edit the .bat for it?
i also still haven't been able to download unique containers, is there any chance of a mirror?

edit:
i'm also not quite sure when/if to run the fixpack, can anyone please tell me?

One of the first things the install bat does is check what mods you have. If the mod isn't present, then it will skip that part of the install and there is no need to remove it from the .bat.

And the fixpack should likewise be run by the installer on its own, if I'm not mistaken, so no need to run it seperatly. No idea on your other questions.

@ azgarth

all tried with/without .bat edit to path, both with and without a \ at the end, both with and without "'s.
and all with typing too when asked for input.

Do you have Windows XP or Vista?

i'm also not quite sure when/if to run the fixpack, can anyone please tell me?

Ranadiel is right. The Install.bat installs the BW Fixpack.
After you have extracted all your mods into the BG2 main directory you need only to start the Install.bat. If you have not done it yet, please read the first post of this thread for more information.

in the mods not in bg2folder list, i see allison NPC, using standard install, but she's gray in the linklist, which is right? same thing for npc tweak, the vault, wikaede revisited and sylmar battlefield.

Which list do you mean? In the linklist, the guide and the installer all your named mods are shown as expert-mods.

i'm not planning to install kim, since she's not available in english, does it suffice to just not put the mod in the folder, or do i have to edit the .bat for it?

Ranadiel is here right, too. Only the mods you have extracted into your BG2 main directory were be installed by the install.bat.

i also still haven't been able to download unique containers, is there any chance of a mirror?

We know this and this is the second time it happens. Miloch's homepage is down and we hope that the homepage is available soon again.

Do you have Windows XP or Vista?

that would be vista, UAC off, had problems installing baldur's gate 1, but that went fine in safe mode, could this be related?

Which list do you mean? In the linklist, the guide and the installer all your named mods are shown as expert-mods.

the mods that are listed as expert mods, are listed in the installer as mods that will not be intstalled, while all the other expert mods are not listed, why is that?

and thanks for your help so far.

when bwp is finished,i find that my map has changed as Deutsch map.

after i read the 'BiG World Install v5.5.2.bat', i think

and '%IFS%BP-BGT-Worldmap.exe TYPE BP-BGT-Worldmap_input.txt | setup-BP-BGT-Worldmap%L%1%SK% 0 | %M%' should be changed as '%IFGS%BP-BGT-Worldmap.exe TYPE BP-BGT-Worldmap_input.txt | setup-BP-BGT-Worldmap%L%1%SK% 0 | %M%'
'
i tried to install with such a correction, but when 'the end_biff mod' is installed, the BWP don't install 'worldmap mod' and exit the installation window. thus i think i should delete the ''%IFS%BP-BGT-Worldmap.exe TYPE BP-BGT-Worldmap_input.txt | setup-BP-BGT-Worldmap%L%1%SK% 0 | %M%'

i still get the "'Files' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file." thing, and putting it in c:\bg then linking to that doesn't help.
i've retried (after complete reinstall) C:\bg, C:\bg\, "C:\bg" and "C:\bg\".
same thing with C:\program files\baldur's gate.
3 out of 5 times the thing doesn't respond, lets me re-type, then randomly and miraculously accepts what i type, and gives me the above error with program files, and the error that it's not a bg1 installation in C:\bg.

any help? hell, even if i could only play it without bgt i'd be happy, i just want to play again.
i'd prefer the whole deal though.

i've all the files on the discs copied both to their own folder in the bg1 folder, and to the respective data/movie folder, and done the same for bg2.
i'm still running vista, UAC off.

Minor bug in NeJ/Animate.ids.patch:

line 170: "\ No newline at end of file"

Same problem also in NeJ/ANISND.IDS.patch (line 648). Perhaps a newline should be created at the end of the files.

Also, when I installed the english version of BWP, I noticed that the Thalantyr Item Upgrade Mod inside the game is in French, I assume changing the 1 to a 2 would change it to english in the installer? I noticed that this wasn't changed with the new 5.5.1 install either.

[codebox]%IFES%thalan%S%thalan%L%1%SK% 0 | %M%
%IFGS%thalan%S%thalan%L%3%SK% 0 | %M%[/codebox]

EDIT: Nevermind, new(Mike) already pointed it out

Also would the new updated fixpack work with BWP 5.5? My saved games are 5.5 so I don't want to start over again with a new game in 5.5.1, but then again, I would like to take advantage of the new fixes.

Thanks in advance.

I also pointed this out in another thread here. And I pointed out the fact that NTotSC was being installed in castillian spanish, but that had been fixed.

Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for they are quick to anger and you are good to eat.

Which part of the post of 123popo do you mean? Thalantyr is fixed with v5.5.2 and I've answered the question of 123popo in post #123.

Minor bug in NeJ/Animate.ids.patch:
...

Thanks for your report. We'll looking into it.

@ new(Mike)
You're right with the worldmap entries. The IF language is missing. The lines must begin with IFES and IFGS:

%IFES%BP-BGT-Worldmap.exe TYPE BP-BGT-Worldmap_input.txt | setup-BP-BGT-Worldmap%L%0%SK% 0 | %M%
%IFGS%BP-BGT-Worldmap.exe TYPE BP-BGT-Worldmap_input.txt | setup-BP-BGT-Worldmap%L%1%SK% 0 | %M%
If you have problems with installing the worldmap now, do it manually with the last missing mods. Look for advices in the install.bat. That would be the easiest way.

@ azgarth

the mods that are listed as expert mods, are listed in the installer as mods that will not be intstalled, while all the other expert mods are not listed, why is that?

Can you give me some examples?

that would be vista, UAC off, had problems installing baldur's gate 1, but that went fine in safe mode, could this be related?

Sorry, I don't know, because I'm using XP. Perhaps someone else can answer your question.

"'Files' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file."

Try this from the new "BiG World Installpack read me":

How to get the right BG1 directory entries
------------------------------------------
The preset BG1 directory is already preset with this line:
%IFES%BGT%S%BGT%L%0 --force-install 0 --args-list sp "C:\Program Files\Black Isle\Baldur's Gate" | %M%
If you had installed BG1 at another place, the easiest way to change this is to copy your actual BG1 path and paste it into the install.bat and then to save the file.
