Romancing Irenicus

I suppose it would be better to focus on NPCs like Viconia and Aeri -those who have not sufferd his experiments etc.

Freedom cannot be equated with goodness, virtue, or perfection. Freedom has its own unique self-contained nature; freedom is freedom ? not universal goodness. Any confusion or deliberate equalization of freedom with goodness and excellence is in itself negation of freedom, and acceptance of the path of restraint and enforcement.

I actually like the idea of an Irenicus romance...there's something to him that is kinda irresistable. I've been playing the Longer Road and it's very interesting. I always believe in redemption and I kinda felt sorry for him somewhat. But whoever did his voice actor did it really well...
If I knew how to code and all, I would definitely be up for writing an Irenicus romance.

David Warner. He's been an actor for donkey's years - last saw him in a small role as Van Helsing in Penny Dreadful.
But as to Irenicus, the point is, he has no soul and cannot feel. He is incapable of romantic feelings. The dryads in his dungeon say as much.

Catherine, if you really wish to write a romance, do it. With all the different answers\lovetalk, etc. It's not that difficult to code it, after. When I planned to do a mod I didn't find many tutorials around, but after searching a bit I came across some, that are really helpful if you are willing to learn .

I think Dorotea answered the question for the Longer Road precisely, so, yeah, I have to agree here.
As for a new romance mod with Irenicus(SoA? ToB? both?) you have to
- be a very good writer, because you will be compared to Dorotea's BGA/LR all the time;
- have pretty good nerves/self-esteem, because lots of people would be going "gasp! he's a murderer! he killed gorion! he possibly raped imoen! how could you! he has no soul, he can't love anyway!"
But if you are interested in Irenicus, you might be interested - heck, VERY interested - in Harry Potter and the Methods of Rationality. hpmor.com. Enjoy, and if you have to go to bed at 5am - I had nothing to do with it.

We already have romances with children, animals, and a mod that specifically adds charname wanting to get rammed in the ass with a dragon dick, so that wouldn't be much worse.
e: Also don't read HP&MOR, it's written by the literal incarnation of autism who believes that he's a simulation tortured by a benevolent AI from the future which convinced people from the past to donate money to create itself
Also in one of the earliest chapter Harry and Draco, both eleven years olds, discuss violently raping Luna Lovegood

I would actually like that, Sergio! But if you really think about how Dorothea has it arranged, Irenicus shares a portion of the PC's soul, or in my case, Catherine's soul. I've made my character as an elven ranger who is kind to everyone almost to the point that if I could, she would be a paladin. So in a way, wouldn't what Catherine is feeling be pretty much the same as Irenicus. It's kinda like romancing yourself, but if you're good enough...maybe, just maybe you could try to make Irenicus see the good in trusting someone and possibly loving them as well. I know it sounds almost like a classic case of Stockholm Syndrome.
Kudos to you for the Xan mod, Kulyok! I have played it every which way and I can honestly say that Xan is a permanent fixture in my party. <3 Now that that is out of the way, this group is especially hopeless today.

I think the paths are merely two. I guess you know how the longer road ends. But if you are in love with Irenicus, I feel like you could make the "evil" ending better.
And the good one would be what? That's up to you

I'm kinda wondering how players would react to a possible situation where the player tries to seduce Irenicus to coerce him out of wanting a Bhaalspawn soul...
Last I checked, seduction does wonders for making people change their minds
Now I just have to find those tutorials on modding and I may cook up something pretty good

just a question. Do you wish to do a sort of "add-on" to longer road, or do you wish to create a new irenicus? Because if you do create a new one, you could check npc tutorials. Damn, I had some , made by Kulyok. Can't find anything now :|

Well if I have permission from Dorothea, I could make it an add-on to the Longer Road. It would give the player the option of wanting to start a relationship with him, but this is optional.

She will review your stuff. Not that I'm against it, seen and considered that she has really high standards. Try it
There is even a chance you could ask her a tip or two, if you are willing to...
