A Sarevok romance

I am gonna love you by the end of this I think... And considering the fact that I already loved you for the RE Sarevok encounter it will probably approach something like worship. Seriously, I say feel free to tinker as you like, that seemed perfect to me.
As for Imoen, I'm not sure she hates Sarevok, but she would definitely poke at the whole thing which could irritate him or the PC. I actually can't see her leaving the party because of it now that I really think about it, but I can see her being curious and a little confused as to why in the Nine Hells the PC would even be attracted to him. I see her leaving if the PC is cruel in her answers to Imoen's questioning. Jaheira on the other hand... Hell hath no fury like that of a woman's or somesuch... And Jaheira... Well I think it will be hard to keep her if he is being romanced especially since she considers him such an abomination of nature.
A thought for Jaheira though it is rather harsh, then again Jaheira is a harsh woman, in the Longer Road if you are failing at redeeming Irenicus she leaves you. Maybe the same thing with the Sarevok romance? Like she'll tolerate him in the group if he's evil, but if you're romancing him and he's evil she abandons you. If you redeem him she will remain but otherwise no? Just a thought. I would understand why people wouldn't like this since she's quite the popular character but like I said just a thought.

@ Rodeo - I don't hate kids, heh - I was just born without any kind of maternal instinct, rather like a clinical psychopath lacks any sense of empathy. They are alien, to me. In my teens and twenties I got sick of all the "oh you'll change - wait until your biological clock starts ticking!" comments. PS, 41 now. Not gonna happen.
My beef is just with those "PC and NPC settle down and squeeze out a bunch of brats"-type epilogues. If there's a dialogue where you can determine whether that happens or not, that's fine. (There's one such dialogue in the Nathaniel romance - he asks you what you think of kids and you can say, hey yeah, great, or, no thanks, or not really thought about it, and that affects whether you adopt kids in the epilogue. In Kelsey, you end up with them whatever, which is a no, for me). I think it's feasible PC and Sarevok, if CG by the end, might possibly adopt an orphan or two since they were both in that situation themselves. But natural kids? Well, would you risk it, if you were both Children of Bhaal? Besides, I can't really picture Sarevok changing nappies and cleaning up baby sick.
Minor point, really.
Aeryn - good job on the Aerie dialogue.

I think in most mods I've seen people often forget that Imoen had spent several months/weeks in Irenicus' care and then some without her soul. It had to have some impact on her personality. The only time I've seen her mellow down towards Sarevok is when he had a piece of her soul. Other then that I can see her turn really spiteful and vicious if the PC doesn't do some good persuading.

We'll just have to figure it out as we go along. Maybe a dialog at some point. It's already complicated enough for now.
As for Imoen... I'm just not sure. She was never very close to Gorion, she lived with "Ole' Winthrop Puffguts!" So she would not have been affected by Gorion's death as much. I honestly took the "What was it like to be dead" conversation as her being rude and poking at what she figured was a sensitive subject just to get a rise out of him. I don't know. Maybe she would try to be understanding, maybe she would be upset. I can't personally see her getting upset enough to leave unless the PC was deliberately rude when questioned on her sanity in sleeping with a man who has tried to kill her numerous times.
So... We'll see. In good news, I totally completed one of the romance initiation dialogs. Mile stone for me! Since I've started several conversations but this is the first one I've ever finished. Hooray!

Before I forget - what rating are you aiming for? I assumed M/R/NC-17 (or whatever you want to call it), but I guess I'd better ask before I try any dialogs for Viconia.

You get it.
But I have an active imagination and I'm fairly good at being realistic. If you'll help with it, Aeryn, I'll be happy to write one of the steamy scenes.

On the issue of kids in game - as someone with four kids of her own, I know that I wouldn't want a kid(s) tagging along during my PC's adventures (Aerie romance = blehughNO), but I think post-game would be a matter of personal opinion for each person. I personally can see Sarevok as a daddy very easily. It's just plain different when it's your own kid. But, at the same time, I understand those who can't see him that way. While I kind of like the idea of an inconveniently timed prego Bhaalspawn for the story conflict aspect, it's really something that works better in fanfics than mods. I do like the idea of a dialog that could form the epilogue for kids vs. no kids, but meh...it's not something that's necessary to make the mod successful in my opinion.

Help write dialogs that feature a naked Sarevok? Surely you don't even need to ask.
Keep in mind that someone with a sword that big has to be compensating for something.

Don't say that where he can hear you. ;D
Sure, Aeryn. I have to admit, I'm kind of a romantic in that sense. I'll put one of the things I'm thinking of and e-mail it to you, if you don't object.

Obviously he's compensating for his lack of hair...yes, that has to be it.Help write dialogs that feature a naked Sarevok? Surely you don't even need to ask.

OH and another random question: Sarevok's eyes? There was a lot of speculation on other sites regarding the color of his eyes and the glowy effect and all that. I fancy the notion myself that his eyes do not glow without the taint and that he has normal, human eyes (color's not all that important) in ToB, but it's probably one of those tiny little details that you'll have to decide for writing flirts and/or certain dialogs.

I like the idea of his eyes not glowing either. I suppose eyes are very important in a man's looks to me. So it'd be either Green or Hazel. I have blue eyes, so it'd be bias if I said he had blue eyes. Maybe Epitomy has a preference.

*sigh* I'm trying, believe me. I have something sort of coded but it won't go.
Do you code, Ithilian?
Great! I'll send whip something up and send it your way, Aeryn.

As for the glowy eye thing.. Heheh...
I can see his eyes glowing when he is feeling an extreme emotion, such as anger or... Other things...
And seeing as how his eyes glow in the Bioware portrait it's probably safe to assume his eyes glow occasionally. It doesn't matter to me all that much, but I like glowy eyes on the odd occasion. Then again some people won't like this... It's just something we'll have to decide on. Not a major issue anyways, once enough work is done to make it official we could just put up a poll saying "We want your opinion! Glowy? Or non glowy?" Meh.
If someone would show me how to code PC initiated dialog I could actually code some of it myself. I think me, HighTime, and Aeryn, if she's willing to help could do most of the groundwork. As for actually getting it into a downloadable format one day... Not gonna work for me. I can do some stuff... But only a little. I'm not that computer brilliant.
Sarevok is definitely compensating for his lack of HAIR. End of story.
And at this point we've pretty much decided that a conversation will determine the children situation. And yeah, ToB is too short to work in a pregnancy issue, no matter how much I would love otherwise. Oh well. Fanfiction!

I think you guys all have awesome ideas, and I'm really looking forward to seeing this develop.
When it comes to the glowy eyes, I'd reckon that they glow when he's expressing.. Bhaalspawn-y emotions, fury, anger, rage, bloodlust, etc... which I guess is more often than not, ahem.
theacefes: You have to be realistic as well, you can't just be Swedish!
