"Days of our Shyness"

Hope it all ends well, with none of your friends dying, almost dying, falling down a mineshaft or getting pregnant at the end of every week! :)

Better than 'The young and the Shyness'. :)

I've got my computer back, so I'll get back to work on it.
That gave Jarlaxle pause. "Because I love you as a brother, I pray that you will one day fathom the truth of it all, my friend."

"They're dragons," Entreri muttered. "And I know how Drow love their brothers."

I also feel I need to apologize for having been gone - luckily my news are a bit happier. Long story short, I am helping with/have taken over planning a last-minute wedding (my sister's). I haven't had much of a chance to work on things, but I really should. Argh. Sorry about that.

Epitomy - thanks a lot :) Happy to see you're back, sorry to hear about the drama. I'm really glad to hear you like my writing, as I wasn't too sure about having captured Sarevok at the beginning. I appreciate the comment.

Here's a Korgan/Sarevok dialog.

I realize it might out of character, but I'm doing the best I can.

Korgan: I commend ye on yer choice. She be a fine lookin' wench.

Sarevok: What are you talking about, dwarf?

Korgan: Yer beddin' <CHARNAME>, ain't ya? She's a good lookin' woman.

Sarevok: That is none of your concern.

Korgan: That be all right. Ye don't have to share. So long as ye recall who congratulated ye first.

Sarevok: And why would I recall that.

Korgan: When ye and <CHARNAME> take Bhaal's Throne o'course! Be ye daft, boy?

Sarevok: Do not call me 'boy', you demented fool.

Korgan: Jest as long as ye remember who said 'congrats' first.
That gave Jarlaxle pause. "Because I love you as a brother, I pray that you will one day fathom the truth of it all, my friend."

"They're dragons," Entreri muttered. "And I know how Drow love their brothers."

I like it. :) One nitpick: I don't think Korgan would actually find the main character good-looking, I think he'd be more likely to express his distaste about Sarevok bedding a lass without a proper beard or something of the sort.

True.

But dwarves have never been my forte. I prefer drow. They're nastier and easier to write, not right, in some respects.

That and loading up on R.A. Salvatore has helped get a better understanding of them. :)

I'll post the Viconia/Sarevok dialog tomorrow.

This word 'bedding' is really annoying too ^_^ I'll just pretend it's here for forum rule purposes :) :P

i would suggest that Korgan is a mercenaries so he could say to Sarevok something like
K:"Arg!... of course u have done a great deal u big one!
S: "u mean me little fool?"
K:"of course who else has taken the future godness of murder?"
S: this is nono of your concerne fool. Leave me if u don't wanna die soon.
K: "Arg! and thinking i wanted to do a deal with these disfigured undead"
(Korgan leave Sarevok prefering going to search something to drink)

i know that u all are working hard but i think that mine is a good suggestion

Well, you would. ^_^ Grammer Nazi'd it too...

K:"Aye! Ye' have really got yerself a good deal goin' on here, eh?"
S: "What do you mean, fool?"
K:"I mean that ye' have the future godess of murder bedding(1) ye'. Ye' are set from now on."
S: "This is none of your concern, fool. Leave now before I decide to sharpen my blade on your head. It's at perfect level to do so."
K: "Hmph. Just tryin' teh congratulate ye'."(2)

(1) - I use this term loosely ^_^
(2) - Don't understand what this last sentence means as it doesn't seem to have anything to do with the previous lines of text.

Well, I'd say 'knocking boots', but considering I outfit my party with Boots of Speed, it might present strange images. I like the context of your dialog, Death. I couldn't understand it until Thanatos got his hands on it, but then I've never been good at grammar myself.

I'd have gotten this posted yesterday, but it was my Mom's birthday and we kept having to leave the phone free 'cause the back breaks are going out on her car, so...

Viconia: Sarevok, <CHARNAME> tells me you are quite...skilled in the bedchamber.

Sarevok: I find that hard to believe.

Viconia: That my abbil would tell me about your antics in bed or that she would say you are talented?

Sarevok: Both.

Viconia: We are khal'abbil, trusted friends, Male. It is only natural that the subjects of sex, partners and the details thereof.

Sarevok: <CHARNAME> seems hell bent on keeping this private. (hard look)

Viconia: So the wine helped. We are friends, as I said.

Sarevok: And I will say this, stay out of it if you know what is good for you.

Viconia: In Menzoberranzan, you would be punished for your insolence.

Sarevok: Then it is a good thing for me we are not, isn't it? END

Hey, there's a Lethal Weapon 4 reference in there. Anybody get it?

In most cases, you would be correct. However, Korgan is not a standard dwarf by any means. Completely seperate from his brutality, he is very humanized, rather like Coran in BG1.

I forget if it was vanilla or in a banterpack mod, but I seem to recall Korgan speaking of a previous moon elf lover when people showed surprise that he was attracted to things that were.. attractive.

When Jet Li's character talks to 'Uncle Benny', Benny says something that sets Jet Li off. He says 'In Hong Kong you would already be dead'. Benny says along the lines of. 'We are not in Hong Kong'. It was in the last two lines of the dialog. It wasn't exact, but I figured it was close enough.

Hey, for fans of the man, could we maybe include an In Memoriam for George Carlin? Maybe something along the lines of 'In Memory of George Carlin, who would have had a fine appreciation of our efforts'. It's just an idea, I'm a big fan of the man.

Maybe in the readme or another file somewhere. A 'special thanks to' section at the end or somesuch. I don't think it would be called for in in-game dialogue, but it's your mod.

Has anyone considered making a player 2 romance option for Sarevok? Along the lines of the what was done with the Amber NPC. Would bypass the whole incest issue that some people get hung up on.

I thought it was the "So the wine helped." But then I havn't seen LW4. And also, I don't think Vic trusts anybody, so unless your having a lesbian romance with her I don't see that little bit of text fitting in ^_^

Well, the term khal'abbil is used with heavy sarcasm, because the drow don't trust anyone.

Yeah, the George Carlin thing would go in the readme file. And maybe a somewhat oblique reference? Maybe adding a bit to Volo about the man with the seven words or something.

And what do you mean player 2? I haven't played the Amber NPC Mod, so I'm not sure what you're getting at.

Amber was romancable by either the PC or the second player of a multiplayer game with some changes in the lovetalks.

Hmm. That sounds good. Experience in Coding? We'd love to have the help with writing and getting things set. Erdbeere is working on a flow sheet between everything else she's doing and I'm trying to get my computer to work.

How long have you been playing?

Er, me? I've been playing since the first game came out in 1998. No experience in coding as of yet, but I'd be happy to offer help with writing or proofreading if you need it. I'd also be ok with offering as much or little advice as you want if you want to keep the writing to yourself but are looking for an advisor. Let me know what you need.
