KotOR2 - Atton, Visas, Mandalore cause he's Candy, and Kreia - although I hate her as well!

HOMM IV - Tawni Balfour and Elwin. :)

Oooh, me too! Me too!! I just fell in love with that elf, and Tawni just such a strong woman, I started admiring her immediately!
I have to add Emilia Nighthaven, from the Wizard campaign, as well.
And I totally agree with you, Lysan, HoMM 4 was a lot better than the 5th (although the fifth was kinda pretty, graphics-wise... I *love* the elf town...)

I forgot to mention Arrokh from Drakan: the Order of the Flame. How can you not love the guy? He's a dragon, you can ride him, and he has this tongue-in-cheekiness...

BG1 with the NPC project - Dynaheir.

BG2 - I really can't pick out one I like much more than the others, but perhaps Imoen.

NWN1 OC - Linu. Just a lot of fun, and it carries on in HotU.

NWN2 OC - Khelgar shades it over Neshka because I really dislike her voice.

NWn2 MotB - Safiya, probably, but I also like Okku a lot.

KotOR1 - Jolee Bindo. I hate you, you awesome old man.

KotOR2 - Kreia. I don't mind someone so awesome setting events in motion around me.

Back from the brink.

BG1 - I really liked Xan, but I wasn't so hot on hit stats. I really wanted to use that Moonblade, but he was a mage. But he didn't have the magic missiles to be a proper mage. Even then, he had me at "We're doomed" ;)
Odd as this may seem, I liked Khalid too. Despite or perhaps because of his stutters and his shyness. He was cute, I thought, and I was a bit disappointed when he died in BG2. I've always wanted a mod or something that swapped which swapped Jaheira for Khalid (And Minsc for Dynaheir), just to see how things would have turned out.

BG2 - Anomen. I'll admit Anomen can be love/hate for me, but that's because he's like the male version of me, and seeing yourself reflected so well can be a bit strange. He's even got the ticked-off "What is it now?!" towards friends and family. I guess that's what made him seem so sympathetic to me, almost sweet, even when he was storming about in one of his bad moods, because I'm of an equally foul temper myself.

KotOR - Carth. I just love all of his romance talks, from the mushy stuff to the downright goofy ("Ouch! I think you hurt my man-feelings with that one!"). He feels like the only love interest with a proper sense of humour who thinks it's cute when you mock him and doesn't go insta-dump on you because you call him a hairless wookiee. Plus there's the voice. Mm, Raphael Sbarge...
Oh, and Jolee and HK will always have a place in my heart (Or at least my "Top 10 funniest game characters" list)

KotOR2 - Atton was cute and vaguely intriguing, I'll admit it. But I did prefer Bao-Dur's sensuous voice, all five lines of it. I thought he was one of the better characters - or at least, he would have been if they'd fleshed him about a bit more.

NWN2 - Sand. Had he been romantically inclined, I would have been on him faster than you can say "Forget Bishop". His wit, his sarcasm... He was fantastic. I took him with me even when I was already a magic user because I cherished his every interjection.

Mass Effect - Garrus. I can't quite describe it, to be honest, but there's just something about him that makes me like him. Much as I like Kaiden, Garrus always comes out on top, possibly because of the mix of naivety and cynicism that makes him at once cute and respectable.

BG1: Imoen, I mean really? how do you not love her?
BG2: OMG <3 Nalia, So much Nalia hate around here and I don't know why
KotOR 2: Atton and Kreia, I have never taken any two other NPCs, I love them both immensely even after Kreia betrays you

Well, now I've just finished KotOR... I'll add those. (KotOR 2 and Jade Empire are in the post!)

Strangely, I didn't dislike anyone, though some were a little bland. Bastila doesn't get off on a good footing but she warms up later. I couldn't really buy her as a love interest, though - I kept feeling as though I was being lectured by Mazzy. :( (Well, same voice, so not surprising really).

Carth - some compare him to Anomen, and I really don't like Anomen at all, but I didn't mind Carth. Sure he has a lot of angst but he doesn't bull about his past exploits and he doesn't have that annoying nasal whine, so he didn't bother me. I'll play as a female next and try the romance.

I didn't even hate Mission. She was a little annoying at first but she's basically Imoen with head tails. The wookie was just a wookie - not a lot to him but I don't understand why people hate him. HK-47 was quite fun but I didn't take him out all that much because I preferred others.

My favourite two were Jolee, who rocks, and Canderous. Back when I played Ultima Online I was assistant GM of a roleplaying guild that seemed to be based on a very similar ethos to the Mandalorians - warlike, into conquering and honour, but not very nice. I guess the original GM may well have based the guild on the Mandalorians, though as I've only really watched the Star Wars movies I am only just seeing parallels now. So yeah, to cut a long story short, I could relate to Candy's outlook. Glad he's in the sequel. :)

I, too, will revisit this thread, since I just got around to play KotOR 1 and 2 for the very first time.

KotOR 1 - Carth. If there ever was a Carth fan girl, I'm she! I've grown very fond of the man, and I simply adored the romance. Jolee Bindo is also a riot, I love having him along. And HK was kinda funny, although I have to admit, he spent most of his time in the Ebbon Hawk, so I kinda missed out on most of his dialogues.

KotOR 2 - Bao Dur. The quiet, silent type, he has this wisdom that yo'ure bound to like. I'd love Kreia if she didn't keep telling me how I should spend my gold (I'll donate it to refugees if I want to!!). Atton's okay too, but kinda cocky, so he doesn't come close to the level of affection I have for Carth.

BG1: Imoen
BG2: Aerie  (she's my best NPC ever, not only for her lovely personality but for being the greatest NPC spellcaster in the BG)
Planescape: Ingus (i love pyromanic mages) lol, Dak'kon (he was a quite interesting NPC and i loved his philosophy talks)
NWN2: Ammon (WOW, another crazy powerful mage) , Elanee
MOTB:Kaelyn the Dove (love winged spellcasters!)

If you want to alter reality, you must first escape from it.

I really like Bao-Dur as well, Eleima - now that I've played KotOR II. He's just rather cool. And very buff, actually... Ahem. Candy is still very cool as Mandalore even if he does spend the game encased in armour (which is a shame, as he had a nice butt in KotOR I). I do think I liked Atton as a love interest a bit more than Carth - once you rip the lid off his past, he becomes a lot more interesting. It's a shame the romance wasn't completed but, oh well. Most of the characters are pretty interesting, actually - it's just most of them don't have much to say, which is a pity.

Uh-oh, looks like Minotaur and I have competition in the wooing of Aerie. I agree about her spellcasting. Her combination of cleric and mage spells becomes devastating. Give her Crom Fayer and the Girdle of Fortitude and she can mix it up pretty well with the goons, too. Just Aerie and my swashbuckler/fighter PC finished SoA.

Did you play long enough for her to have your child in the game?

Many times. We have enough kids now to start our own football team. They have all been amazingly well-behaved children and they never whine.

They must get it from their dad...

Sorry. I really do like Aerie, but that was left too open for it not to go there.

Actually, I just did another run with KotOR 1 taking Canderous a lot more, and I have to say, he's really growing on me. I can see why some fan fictions portray him as Carth's competition. He doesn't seem all that Dark though, contrary to what his stat sheet says. He's more Grey-y to me...

Yes and no. He's not spiteful like a Sith (or like some of the Dark options you get) and he's not a thug, but he is mercenary, and he is also utterly ruthless. He doesn't have any particular regrets over bombing worlds to glass in order to provoke a war with the Republic, and whilst he does have a bit of a crisis of conscience over Jagi, he gets over it by the end of the game (if you manage to get all his conversations, anyway). He's an interesting character, though, for certain.

Mm well almost finished Jade Empire now (just the final fight to go, really). I liked most of the characters well enough, apart from Silk Fox.
I played a male character and romanced Sky, so took him as a companion for most of the game. I rather liked him. He had the Bioware patented tragic past but he didn't rattle on about it, so that was fine by me.
Also liked Wild Flower and Sagacious Zu (initially hoped he'd be a romance prospect but, ah, evidently not. Why is it that the characters I find the most intriguing are never romanceable? I guess that's a whole other topic in itself...)
