The Bhaalpowers that were in the game but cut from the pocket plane scripting file (AR4500.bcs) because they were thought to be too confusing along with the HLAs - I 'd like to add them to my BGT install, but there is already a AR4500.bcs file in my override folder.

Is this something that would need to be added prior to BGT-Weidu, or is it simply not compatible?

The compatibility of the DG's Bhaal Spawnpowers has nothing to do with BGT, if it's about are files...(a link to prove it) Now, open the WeiDU.log and copy paste it, so we can make it more rational suggestions how to proceed, and move this thread.

// Log of Currently Installed WeiDU Mods
// The top of the file is the 'oldest' mod
// ~TP2_File~ #language_number #component_number // [Subcomponent Name -> ] Component Name [ : Version]
~BG2FIXPACK/SETUP-BG2FIXPACK.TP2~ #0 #0 // BG2 Fixpack - Core Fixes: 6.1
~BG2FIXPACK/SETUP-BG2FIXPACK.TP2~ #0 #1 // BG2 Fixpack - Game Text Update: 6.1
~BG2FIXPACK/SETUP-BG2FIXPACK.TP2~ #0 #3 // BETA Core Fixes (please check the readme!): 6.1
~SETUP-BGT.TP2~ #0 #0 // Baldur's Gate Trilogy - Core: 1.06

~SETUP-BGTTWEAK.TP2~ #0 #5 // Druid/Ranger-responsive bears in BG1
~SETUP-BGTTWEAK.TP2~ #0 #10 // Bags of the Sword Coast
~SETUP-BGTTWEAK.TP2~ #0 #16 // Altered item shattering -> Remove item shattering
~SETUP-BGTTWEAK.TP2~ #0 #23 // Protagonist's biography modifications -> Set BG2 biography upon Shadows of Amn transition
~SETUP-BGTMUSIC.TP2~ #0 #0 // Baldur's Gate Trilogy - Music -> Full Baldur's Gate and Tales of the Sword Coast Music

~WIDESCREEN/WIDESCREEN.TP2~ #0 #0 // Widescreen Mod: Widescreen Mod v1

In order to add the bhaalpowers I would need to place the file (ar4500.bcs) in the override folder, but a copy of that file is already there - note that I only wish to add this feature individually and *not* Ascenscion, of which this is also available as a component. I suspect the only 'mod' that is responsible for that file being in override is the G3 BG2 Fixpack.

As I understand it, AR4500.bcs is the script file for the Pocket Plane in ToB, which governs the dialog with the Solar that assigns the challenges. The choices made in these challenges (using the custom script file) award certain bhaalpowers. As these powers are already in the game, only the script file is necessary (I'm sure you already know this). I'm not seeing any connection to this issue with the thread you linked to in your reply.

Well, unfortunately as the addition is not a WeiDU mod, it needs to be installed(copied to the override folder) before any of the WeiDU mods are installed, or it can be edited in with Near Infinity.

The link just proved that BGT has nothing to do with the ar4500.bcs being in the override folder. Thus also making the forum wrong.

Now, the way to do the change, is to start reinstalling from fresh again and after the BG2 patch, adding the file to the override and then installing the WeiDU mods.
Or know NI and do the change yourself.

Isn't DG's Restored Bhaalspawn Powers a component of Unfinished Business? It should patch anyway so no overwriting is involved.

@ erebusant
Yes it is, moreover they're of course also included in Ascension.

Neither of which (Unfinished Business or Ascension) are in the list of installed mods.

The Bhaalspawn powers are a component of Ascension, which I believe to be a Weidu mod. Can that component then be installed on top of BGT without introducing problems (assuming that is the only component installed, as I know some components cause errors)?

Before you install Ascension bear in mind that it makes the final battle noticably harder. As I already said, it is also a component of Unfinished Business, a mod which has the aim to restore forgotten and cut content to BGII. Both Ascension and Unfinished Business are WeiDU-mods.

Thanks, I think I'll install Unfinished Business v17 and see how that works. I really didn't want to install Ascension (yet).
