Combat music getting "stuck on"

a)enter a building or otherwise transition to another area,
b)click on the edge of the map (wagon wheel icon) to bring up the world map - in this case the battle music stops regardless of whether I travel to another area or return to the game screen
Once one of these things occurs, the battle music stops and the expected music appropriate for the area resumes.
BGT 1.06 is installed on top of G3 BG2 Fixpack (but this was confirmed to happen without the fixpack as well)
BGT Tweak v7 is installed
BG1/TotSC music option is enabled (still in BG1 portion of the game)
No other mods.
This does not happen 100% of the time; it is intermittent. One area where it seems to happen rather often is after killing the last of the hobgoblins in the area around the Friendly Arm Inn (and yes, I'm sure they're all dead).

To reproduce, simply open a character's inventory at the end of a battle before the battle music has stopped. After returning to the game screen, the battle music will continually recycle until another event occurs such as: a) more enemies appear, prompting new battle music; b) transition to another area; c) dialog is initiated with a member of the party.
Edit: update: This also happens sometimes without the above taking place (the battle music simply does not stop). In this event, simply opening the inventory and returning to the game screen will cause the battle music to stop and the 'appropriate' environment music will resume.
