So, I'm playing with BP and the flirtpack/G3 BG2 Tweak pack and all that other stuff, and I have both Jaheira and Aerie romanced in my party. I've gotten to the point where you rest, they have a big argument, Aerie whines some more, and I pretty much have to pick between one or the other. So...

1) Having installed the Tweak Pack's
* No gender requirements (i.e. Aerie romances females)
* No racial requirements (i.e. Anomen will romance a half-orc)
* Multiple romances
* Nothing kills romance (requires multiple romances)
* Start romances for new games in ToB )

Would that keep it from quitting one or the other when I pick between them, so both romances would continue? And if not, then:

2) Who should I pick?

I wouldn't have thought any mod would let you romance both of them beyond the point you've reached now. If it can be done, however -- and I'd wait for advice from someone who knows much more about these mods than I do -- then I'd make a special save of the game right now and call it "Romance Split" or something, and see if you can proceed to romance both girls after openly choosing one of them.

Choosing between Aerie and Jaheira the first time was one of my most difficult decisions. I found both romances to be satisfying, although the Jaheira romance is more challenging.

Have you romanced either of them before? If not, then you'll get more side-action and eventually more XP if you go with Jaheira. If you have Anomen in the party, Aerie should have a fling with him, which may make it easier for you to dump her.

I still have difficulty choosing between these two girls since I started using a picture of Naomi Watts as Jaheira's portrait and Mena Suvari as Aerie. Usually I go for Aerie because I love her voice. She is the only character with whom I've finished the game as a two-member party (in which she levels up so high that her combination of divine and arcane magic becomes overwhelming).

FOOTNOTE: Of all the romances, the Imoen romance mod was the one I found to be the most emotionally fulfilling. It adds richness to the core quest of SoA.

As your mods state: Multiple romances means multiple "decided" romances (Romance value = 2), and nothing kills romances means that, no matter how you proceed with the lovetalk argument in question, the girl you "reject" will remain in her romance with you. Both romances will continue as if you picked each girl, and they won't argue with each other anymore.

Alright, thanks. It was just that, I picked option 4 the first time, and Aerie was like "waaaaaaaaaaaaaaa" and left the party, so I wasn't really sure. Good to know though, I didn't really want to pick between them hah. Maybe I could pick up viconia and make a love quadrilateral?

EDIT: Haha, they both continued! It worked! Hamsters and Rangers everywhere, rejoice!

Do/Are romances able to proceed in places like, the Underdark and Spellhold? I'm running out of quests to do, and I don't want to start CH4 because of the harper hold deal and the CH6 subplot (which i've never done). If not, can I accelerate the talks somehow?

Romances will continue in Brynnlaw but not during the Underdark (except, occassionally, in Adalon's Lair, which isn't marked as a dungeon for some reason).
Any unfinished romances should resume one you return to Amn. Just try and get them finished before going to Suldanesselar, though. Jaheira's takes a long time to finish (Terminsel turns up and gives her something nice...you don't want to go before that).

You can also manually advance the romances with CLUAConsole in a variety of ways (if you don't want to miss any LoveTalks, you can just set the timer to 1 for each, or you can set the actual LoveTalk number if you want to skip LoveTalks). Most CLUAConsole FAQs and SOA Romance FAQs include the specific codes you have to enter to do these things.

Do these mods for Bioware NPCs also affect romance mods? Havinfg just learnt here that I coild successfully two-time a couple of ladies, I'm thinkjing of becoming polygamous. It would rather fun to have simultaneous affairs going with Viconia, Aerie, Jaheira, Tashia and Fade, say.

I don't know how romance variable mods will affect romance mods...I've heard that romance mods can be buggy if you tinker with them...I've had problems with Nalia's and Tashia's romances at certain points. I think romance mods are probably more compatible with the Bioware romances, but combining romance mods might cause trouble.

Joking aside. After My Winged One, I have always enjoyed Viconia's romance, for it allows one to act like normal people in a romance and not Always be sickly sweet. The one thing the romances lack is the Jealousy AFTER the fact. I mean, they have words and then <CHARNAME> decides who he is going to be with and nothing much more is said. People don't WORK that way, especially when they are stuck together in close range for any length of time. Vicci's romance at least lets a little friction in.

I think a mazzy romace might have some interest too.

Maybe Haery'Arse, then, not AnoBoy. They're both dweebs. You'd think an Avariel would have better taste. She could go for Keldorn. He's about my age if you add ten years to him.

I see in the Tweaks readme it says romances may "stutter" if you try multiple romances with third-party NPCs. I read that as: "Scipio, don't even try it until you get more than 512MB of RAM." But I'll have to try a three-way love session with Jaheira, Aerie and Viconia. It'll be fun if they all ask me to "lie with them" on the same night. Do they have something like Viagra in Amn? Other than Aerie in fishnet stockings, that is.

Aerie only goes with Minotaur for his money. She loves me for my razor-cut hairstyle.

I had the Nalia Romance installed from G3 and tried to woo Viconia at the same time but when I got very far in the romance with her the Nalia one just sorta stopped and I couldnt talk to her anymore flirt wise

Oh and Aerie in fishnet stockings...why not all 3? God I wish I was an artist!

Golly ! I wish I had time to try the viconia romance, but I move into VT Friday, so there goes my BG playing! Hah, finished Aerie's and getting there with Jaheira's, want to finish it up by the time Spellhold hits.

Please consider this a completely justifiable digression from this thread:

Go here to see what that Minotaur did with the girls of BG2. And don't miss the treat when you scroll down a little and see his Anomen.

Vaguely, slightly back on thread: If you are considering including Aerie in your plans for romance, see a lot more about her here. It may important to see what isn't known about the Avariel reproductive process if you're planning to have a baby with Aerie.
