1. Not sure if this a bug, but when i got the "escort Icar to Piney Bluff" quest, i never had an option to take Althon along as well. His dialogue never updated, so i couldn't report to him or ask him to join. How can i recruit Althon exactly?

For temperately(same was in CA0.46) you can only have him with you by also having Rihn and/or Vildamyr when you enter the Selgaunt's bridge... as you'll encounter Pel'ja. :whistling: Or this was the only way how I got him last time. I thing that the dialogs need to be updated too...

Sorry for the long post.

I am quite sure, the longer, the better. As you'll have more chance of explaining the problem, and with a reasonable accuracy. And you have sacrificed your time...
Now, if only would learn how to reply to multiple post on one go...

8. There is a bug with familiars in the Slaver Prison in Suderham. After you have your inventory emptied, the familiar is on the ground, but it's tied to the PC, since it can't get more than a few feet away from him. When i tried to get it to scout ahead, it was instantly teleported back to the PC after a short distance. If i tried to put it in my inventory, a new version was spawned next to the Pc, with the same problems. You could potentially have infinite familiars. ^_^
I only had that problem in the first area, the ones after that didn't have that bug.

I had this bug too, with another one : after being released from Sunderham prison, Rillithar didn't follow orders of movement. It stayed stuck to the same place when using the Ctrl+J command too. It's really strange because all other characters (Dirbert, Shadow, Icar, then Althon that rejoined) had no problem at all.

The city of Selgaunt looks awesome, though.

Thanks, that was three months just to make the maps. (I have no idea how long it took SirBillyBob to do the search maps) The next stage is filling the city.

If Ril isn't following, I suspect he has a banter he is trying to say and it is hanging the game. Does the PC turn to face him? That is usually a good sign that he is trying to say something. Otherwise, I have no idea why he can't follow the party like other characters.

Oh, well, I don't know, since I finished the game with moving him slowly each time, then I tried to make a mega mod install -without much success, because of *.ogg files extraction problem)-.

I didn't notice about the PC but you can move it freely. Is there a way to make this banter work ? Maybe trying to talk to Rillithar directly ?

After playing through a second time (to do the swamp and Myth Drannor mostly), i found a few more bugs.

If you get access to the swamp first, you can still go to Piney Bluff by taking the exit to the north of Saltmarsh, and you can still get the quests if you go there after finishing the marsh.

Vildamyr repeats the same banter, about getting to know him better, when he tells the PC he's trying to behave better because he died, endlessly.

The same goes for Rivian's banter about having to leave Evereska because of the sun-elf. It seems to be the reason why i can't get access to her romance.

During the conversation between Althon and Aesdale after the Slaver Fortress, when Althon reveals the truth about Aesdale's family, he asks Markessa (her clone, in that case, who wasn't in my party at the time, but who i was accompanying to Westgate) to tell Aesdale how she lost her eyes. But it stops there because she doesn't say anything.

The spawn times for the night mask thieves near Captain Buril's house are way too fast. As soon as the party gets out of sight of the house, they spawn again. By the way, i wish you would get rid of that completely after you return to Westgate. It makes sense for three thieves to attack a party of six people who don't have any equipment, but it doesn't make sense that supposedly intelligent human thieves who presumably would prefer to live would attack a fully-armed party of adventurers when outnumbered.

Technical stuff: (0.47)

TCLEAT05.ITM has AC 3 in its description, but AC 5 in fact. I'm guessing it is supposed to be a studded leather +2, so the description is wrong?

U#CHAN01.ITM and U#PLAT01.ITM has 1 better AC than their enchantments would otherwise indicate ... bonus for adamantine?

Otherwise, good work! :)

Hi!

This is amazing! I am new to playing mods but I am very impressed with this creation.

However, I got stuck and it appears to be a bug.

I have accepted to go and investigate the smuggler ship, but I can not enter the ship from the little boat.

One of my party members start on the deck of the ship, and the others in the little boat. If I select the whole crew or just one ine the boat and then click om the poles at the end of the ship (so the circle with arrows comes up) the character(s) just step around. However, if I select the character on deck and click the poles he jumps right into the little boat. It is not possible to talk with the fisherman so one is stuck.

Grateful for help!

Trubadix.

You should be able to click on the characters on the small boat one at a time and then move them close enough to 'jump' to the ship(the real icon is on the left side of the small boats mast), and leave also one at a time, if needed. And once all you chars are on the ship, you need to go into the ship(into the hatch).

Just to add onto Jarno's helpful advice, I should inform that this is primarily a spacing problem that may occur both coming onto the smuggler boat, or going off it.
In most cases there's no need for the one-by-one method as the landing space tends to be large enough for a group of six, though the problem is with the triggers, it centers around the leading selected character before the 'grab and drop'. As a result, it may miss a few NPCs in particularly large groups.

Of course pirate fans might say that team members are preforming a mutiny, but that's probably a bit too over-the-top in this case. :D

Can't seem to finish the ruby quest... Game's forcing me to do goblins instead. Or did i miss some sort of exit? BTW, journal is all goblins, too.

Strange that shouldn't be happening if all the triggers are correct. See if you missed any of the following steps during the runthrough:
  • Speak to Chaarna to receive the Ruby Quest, may need to recruit her.
  • Proceed to the Silver Princess' Palace (map due west of Oakhurst, from there you'll need to navigate the wilderness to find the northeastern exit leading further in).
  • Enter the Palace itself and find the right set of stairs leading to the 2nd floor (you should end up in a large hallway with illusionary swords fighting at the far end of the room, the other stairs will lead to a dead end).
  • The ruby is hidden behind secret passages on that level, once you've located it, take it, speak to the ghost protecting it and defeat the Silver Warrior's Ghost.
  • Chaarna will disband and take the ruby with her, leaving the rest of her equipment behind. Return to Oakhurst to continue with the storyline.
And yes, the early segments of the game's journals are still yet to be updated with some revisions that were made a while back. Not quite sure what happened to them actually.

I don't know how this one happened. Aleigha's sword will always return to her inventory if you drop it. Strange, I will have to try to recreate this bug. Solar, We will need to see what is missing maybe a new thread for banters in the workarea for what needs to be added.

To start the silver princess, you must recruit Chaarna, she can be found near the druids cave in Oakhurst. If she is not in your party you can never finish the quest. Additionally she will not enter the ravine with you. So really you have one chance to do the silver princess module.

If you do the ravine quest, you can't do the silver princess quest.
If you do the silver princess quest, do you can do the ravine quest then, or everytime only one of the quests?

If you want to do both quest you must do the Silver princess first. in the future it will be only one quest which is available.

I really don't have any way to stop you from doing both quests. Logically though, if you finished the Silver Princess and then talked to your mayor, you would want to head directly to Saltmarsh to warn the people there. It wouldn't make since to go investigate the ravine. However, even if I some how manage to block access to the ravine map, you could always cheat your way there. Therefore, this is more of a role playing vs game playing issue and I will leave it up to each player to decide.
