I have Baldur's Gate Trilogy loaded up and started a new game. I had a friend do it and I am not certain which of the options he enabled, but I have three questions that I hope someone among you know the answers for.

1. I get 10 xp per spell level when I write spells, and 10 xp for picking a lock, 24 for removing a trap. Does this amount increase later to the normal SoA levels, or not? Anyone know the way this works?

2. I can't find Durlag's Tower or Ulgoth's Beard on the map though ToSC was loaded as part of the set up. Anyone know what's up with that and how I can access them (I haven't went north and tried to go to Ulgoth's Beard - but it isn't on the map like normal and Durlag's Tower is not accessible from any of the neighboring terrain at the moment - it just isn't there)? I am still in the middle of the original adventure in BG.

3. Are there xp caps as part of BGT? How does xp levels work?

I think you posted at a wrong place :D

1. XP you get is changed by BGT to those levels I think and they don't change

2. I think Durlag's Tower is showed only when you accept the quest, Ulgoth's Beard is showed either when you go north or after the mines I don't remember very well

3. I'll leave this to someone else since I always use tweaks to remove any caps and don't remember how it is without them :lol:

1. You can check it for yourself, open the xpbonus.2da, it should look something alike this:

Meaning that if you open level 1 trap you get 10 xp, if you open level 7 trap you get 17 xp etc.
You can edit the amounts if you want, but be careful, or load the 2DAEditor_v1.1 form this place.
3. the xp cap is at 8 000 000, so no worries, yet. You can also take the cap out with the said tweak pack.

1. They do not change. If you want, when you get to the BG2 part of the game, you can revert them to the BG2 normal values by installing the relevant component of the BGT Tweak pack.
2. The only way to investigate Durlag's Tower is to first talk to Ike at Ulgoth's Beard.
3. BGT does not change the XP cap in any way.
