"The righteous need not cower before the drumbeat of human progress. Though the song of yesterday fades into the challenge of tomorrow, God still watches and judges us. Evil lurks in the datalinks as it lurked in the streets of yesterday, but it was never the streets that were evil." - Sister Miriam Godwinson, Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri

Fair warnings as well: certain third-string villains from canon are due to display intelligence scores above the single digits in this story. I do rather hate being cruel to my characters, but examining how things will go when the bad guys behave intelligently and cannily does have its interest...

Through lightning, travel shadow,
Through hell and all above,
Surviving sword and arrow,
Bound stronger by the love

And in the end a witness,
To where the death has lain,
Silent through the sorrow,
Where innocents lie slain

Does not help that Nalia kills me to write. With her original reason for being in the plot tossed out the window, I'm less inclined to take liberties with her personality, and I can't seem to get a handle on the way she thinks, acts, and speaks. I don't want to push her off to the sidelines, but quite honestly, I hate being challenged as a writer.
And re: Dark Mage, I do have plans for the keep, oh yes indeed. I just hope my creations will forgive me for what I have in mind.

Interpersonal or big picture?
Interpersonal! Interpersonal!
(Still hoping for Ajantis... He seems to get the bad hands these days, having lost two relationships in two different stories at least already. Poor sod. )

If it'll salve your curiosity...
Spoiler
Awww. But it's alright, I am faithful you know what's best for your story. Poor Ajantis, though.
Still, the "Interpersonal! Interpersonal" shout still stands. Even if it doesn't involve one Ajantis.

Am I right in thinking this is not common knowledge to the party yet? Do not think I have seen it discussed, however, there is every chance I simply missed it somehow

Do you mean me?
Because my seat is worth its weight in silver, at least. Like totally.
If anything this is the Pistachio Gallery. They're much better than Peanuts anyway (unless the Peanuts have Wasabi. ).

*Shrug* It worked.
Want a Wasabi Peanut? Or do you prefer Pistachio too?
I also have some Wasabi and Mayonaise Cheetos lying around, though I'm careful with those, as it's not sure when or if I'll be able to get more.
(I'll be quiet now... )

So yes. Basically, a good job once again, and I can't wait to read more!

Expect things to slow down for a while once the Keep is retaken, though, in terms of overall pacing-I have some definite plans for more character development afterwards, and the Keep itself will go a non-canonical route, too, mainly due to upgrading the intelligence of certain characters.
