Big World megamod travel troubles.

Anyway.. The problem is travel to some modded areas. The DSOTSC areas in particular currently. When I first ran into the elf DSOTSC NPC at Friendly Arm my map updated as expected with Wood of Sharp Teeth. So naturally I try to go there as I have in past installations. Althouth it looks reachable when I try and look AREA UNREACHABLE pops up on the map when I run my mouse on the area and click click click to no avail. I remember having this problem years ago with a BP install..or it may have been just a TDD install..I forget. I circumvented it this time by teleporting there via area name and CLUAConsole commands.
I figured and hoped that it is a one time bug not an ALL modded areas unreachable bug, but when I got the next quest area...the Castle area for DSOTSC it does the same thing..area unreachable. I again circumvent with CLUAConsole teleporting. Note that I did try several things in game first..like going to areas near to the ones that were unreachable and trying to enter from those maps. It did nothing ..still unreachable. I completed DSOTSC now..for the second time. This time with the help of CLUAConsole teleporting. I am of course now worried this traveling problem will extend to many of the modded areas and not just DSOTSC. No idea in the world what caused it this time in the first place..but it's happening.
I thought the new world map fixed this crap......
Any assistance is always much appreciated.

Where did you try traveling to the area from? I think you still need to do it from the right place (upper right corner of 1 of the wilderness maps).Anyway.. The problem is travel to some modded areas. The DSOTSC areas in particular currently. When I first ran into the elf DSOTSC NPC at Friendly Arm my map updated as expected with Wood of Sharp Teeth. So naturally I try to go there as I have in past installations. Althouth it looks reachable when I try and look AREA UNREACHABLE pops up on the map when I run my mouse on the area and click click click to no avail.

Attached the file requested in .txt form. The uploader said I could not upload it in the wmp format.

That corrupted your file. Try attaching it as worldmap.wmp.doc in order to keep it useable.WORLDMAP.txt 355.11K 172 downloads

I always had to increase the memory in the NearInfinity.bat for it to open files.None, however I still wasn't able to open your worldmap.wmp file. At this point, I'd recommend uninstalling WM v6.6.1 and install Worldmap v6.6.3 using the "Revised Travel Times" component, or wait for another day or so and install Worldmap v7 which will be released shortly.Hmm well..how did that file do you? Confirmed now that it is affecting all or most modded areas. It is affecting NTOSC now.

Your worldmap.wmp from your saved game is irretrievably corrupted. That's most likely why everything is crashing now. Can you start a new game? If you can, copy your worldmap.wmp from your override folder to your saved game folder, then open the worldmap.wmp you put in your saved game folder with NI and view/edit each area you have visited, or have had appear on your worldmap and check the appropriate flag boxes for "visible" or "visible + has been visited" etc,etc then save and close the worldmap.wmp file in your saved game folder and you should be good to go. How you were able to corrupt your saved game worldmap.wmp, I have no clue.Ok..it's not working in the newer version either I did a complete reinstall with it. Most all modded areas are still "unreachable". Uploaded the file you were asking for originally in a zip.

I didn't corrupt it. I was playing...playing.... then oh neat I CANNOT get to these places. I reinstalled EVERYTHING and it happens with a brand new game when I test it. Modded areas "Unreachable". It may be corrupted, but it must be a mod doing it. I never even touched it with an editing program.
I tried your method of "fix" before LONG LONG ago on a different install. It did not work. Sure I could see the areas, but even checked "CAN VISIT" "VISIBLE" all that I cannot travel to the ones that were already on my map. What did eventually work was a new worldmap and a game restart.
This time it didn't work apparently. I spawned in a mod NPC to bring an MOD area into view on worldmap after I left candlekeep...UNREACHABLE. ..........................................................................................insanity
Oh yeah btw nothing is crashing now. I just cannot reach modded areas without CLUAConsole or a mind numbingly annoying map edit with N.I. .
