So, is anyone else waiting for games coming out later this year? I know I am... that is, if the release dates don't slide into 2009. My Top3 looks like this:

I. Fallout 3
Obviously something I'm looking forward to, what with the post-nuclear sandbox world and all that. And Nuka Cola.

II. Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning
Looking forward to trying this. I'm not really into the table-top game, but I love the setting, having read a few novels & odd bits of lore.

III. Neverwinter Nights 2: Storm of Zehir
Some major improvements over the NWN2 OC, I'm really looking forward to it. Plus I have all the previous NWN games and expansions, so what's one more going to hurt?

1. RA 3, hardly anyone needs to know that this refers to Red Alert 3.
2. Oblivion with GunsTM, Fallout 3 <_<
3. Spore

and The BioWARE MMO

KotOR MMORPG? As according to this.

But what game I am most awaiting for, is my own BG mod combination... that is, when I get to start to install it, ahh the game the installation is going to make, full of fun, hitting things with my head and all.
Notice the masochistic tension of this message.

1. Stargate Worlds
2. Fallout 3
3. STALKER: Clear Sky

I think Dragon Age won`t appear in 2008. Same with Guild Wars 2. :P

I haven't seriously looked forward to a game in years, so I can't really say much. However, this thread will be interesting when/if I decide to buy some new games. I tend to trust blindly that people who play Baldur's Gate have a good taste in games.

However, now that I'm aware of it, Neverwinter Nights 2: Storm of Zehir will definitely be on my waiting list.

NWN2 - Storm Of Zehir (despite the fact NWN2 OC was crap, Obsidian have more than redeemed themselves with MotB)
Dragon Age (Although I'm sure this will be a disappointment with all the fun of Bioware's regurgitated characters and cliched plotlines and probably uses EAs paranoid security software)

ETA Screw Fallout 3, I'd completely forgotten about Mysteries Of Westgate,

Also, the huge NWN2 Planescape Mod Purgatario by RougeDao Studios coming out this year, as well as Chapter 3 of Wyrin Djarno's excellent Dark Avenger NWN2 Campaign (currently by far the best NWN2 mod, much better than Dark Waters)

Fable II - I thought the first was alright and now the second one looks really nice when looking at the e3 08 trailer and stuff.
Spore - Making a creature of whatever I like and making a whole life out of it gives me enough reason to get this.
Neverwinter Nights 2: Storm of Zehir- Neverwinter nights 2 is one of the games I've played the longest (excluding MMOs) and obviously I'm going to enjoy the next set.

None. (Though, yes, Diablo 3 to see what it's like, and Stalker prequel for some of my friends, and The Broken Hourglass, because it's high time for it). Man, I'm old.

The Broken Hourglass,(no idea when it will be released)
Dragon Age, (2009ish)
Fallout 3 (Moot point)
(Fallout 3 has been refused classification in Australia, effectively banning it from sale with its current content. The drug use apparently. My country is so incredibly backwards when it comes to computer game classification.)

The Broken Hourglass is the game I've been waiting for since it was announced... Kulyok, could you please give us a clue when it is likely to be released??

Yeah, I read about that Australia classification refusal... I really didn't see that one coming. After all, the Australian classification board allowed Grand Theft Auto IV.

From what I've gathered, Fallout 3's ban came down to one drug only: morphine. Because it's a real drug (and highly addictive in REAL life), they apparently won't let the game be released in Australia.

If you ask me, that's just forcing fans of the series to either import the game or resort to piracy. They might stop the imported game at customs though, if it's on the ban list... and where exactly does that leave people who want the game? They would either have to switch country (not probable) or download it illegally (probable).

The Grand Theft Auto IV version that got classified is a modified one. Not many differences were made but apparently it was enough to get it through. Also because the original version wasn't Refused Classification, people have been able to import the unmodified version. Because Fallout 3 has been RC it is illegal to import it. As you said, Importing will happen anyway, as will downloading.

It will be interesting to see if a modified version is put forward but I think it will need to be changed quite a bit to do so. The OFLC report states this as part of their position, "Corresponding with the list of various "chems" are small visual representation of the drugs, these include syringes, tablets, pill bottles, a crack-type pipe and blister packs. In the Board's view these realistic visual representations of drugs and their delivery method bring the "science-fiction" drugs in line with "real-world" drugs."
They object to the use of morphine as well which is peculiar as both Half-Life and Call of Cthulhu(for xbox) refer to morphine use and yet they got classified MA15+. Arbitrary and contradictory decisions and large doses of hypocrisy seem to be the mode of operation at the OFLC. Personally I hope Bethesda stand their ground and refuse to modify the game.

This recent banning concerns me even more for what will end up happening with Dragon Age when it is put forward for classification. (Sorry to Off topic this thread. :) )

Hmm, I'd have to say

Tomb Raider Underworld - each new sequel gets better and better

Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War II - I hope it will be 2009 because I can't wait

Fallout 3 - I played 1&2 so many times I can't even count (I must say that I am afraid it won't be as near as good as the previous two games)

And I also wait for this expansion - Civ IV: Colonization (I spent nights playing this game and previous sequels)
