Does anyone else make regular use of Level One NPC's? I know I certainly do, since I dislike some of the Bioware NPC's classes (and the fact that there aren't many kitted NPCs!).

So, without ado, I present... my altered NPC's!

Jaheria: Alternatively a straight Druid (or Druid kit, like the Shapeshifter) or a Beastmaster ranger (which seemed appropriate to me at the time, not sure why though...).

Edwin: I've experimented, just for kicks, with mage/xxxx. So far, Conjurer/Fighter is meh, Conjurer/Thief was appropriate with the Thayan fluff, but Conjurer seems to be the best class for Edwin overall.

Korgan: Since I use The Darkest Day, and it has a Pit Fighter kit, I thought it'd be appropriate kit for him. Since most folks probably don't use TDD, I tend to leave him as a Berserker, though Korgan the Barbarian was fun a few times.

Nalia: I just can't see her as a mage, so I change her to Fighter/Thief. To me, it makes more sense almost: she's in the slums, she's a rich white girl, she isn't very tough looking, but if you try to mess with her, she pulls a longsword and goes to town on your sorry posterior.

Jan: I can't see him as a thief, so I turn him to straight Illusionist, and find that he's way more effective that way. He's still the same old Jan we all know and love/hate, but now he's twice as effective!

Anomen: I like him as either a fighter/cleric (since there isn't a way to dual class with Lv. 1 NPC's, it makes him a multi-classed character, which is better IMO, and amusing too) or a straight cleric, though I find he isn't the greatest as a straight cleric.

I could go on and on, but I won't, to save you the time of reading my 1:30 AM ramblings.

Anyone else do this too, or am I just a crazy person?

Well, I started a EasyTutu game, yes I know I betrayed Ascension64, for the first time but I wanted to play the Stones so... And so I toke the LONPC's and made...

Imoen, a Swashbuckler.
Jaheira, a Ranger/Priest of Talos. (to compensate the alignment, you know )
Khalid, a Berserker/Mage.
Minsc, a Berserker
Dynaheir, a Sorcerer.
And yes, I am going with that party, if I can stand the insecure Berserker-mage a bit.

While I leave the BG2 NPC's alone as I think all the kits make them fairly right on with BG1 I make a few adaptions

Garrick into a *Jester*
Shar-Teel into a *Barbarian*
Khalid into a *Kensai*
Ajantis into a *Cavalier*
Kivan into a *Archer*
Alora into a *Swashbuckler*
Monty into a *Assassin*
Xan into a *Sorc*


I think thats all I changed...though one time I turned Minsc into a beastmaster but uh hes not that great as one heh...
