make sure that you copy the mod into the bg2 directory (as it states in the directions, but not the mod install)
make sure that you did full (custom w/ all options checked)
make sure that you applied the appropriate patches (one for bg1 and one for bg2)
I am running vista and when I do the install I do get that warning but it doesn't affect the mod in any way.

It isn't necessary, mind you, but it is a little irksome since I was looking forward to the BGI NPC pack from G3.

Smee: Oh, not again.
Captain James Hook: This is it. Don't try to stop me this time, Smee. Don't try to stop me this time, Smee. Don't you dare try to stop me this time, Smee, try to stop me. Smee, you'd better get up off your ass. Get over here, Smee.
Smee: I'm coming. I'm coming.
Captain James Hook: Stop me. This is not a joke. I'm committing suicide.
Captain James Hook: Don't ever frighten me like that again.
Smee: I'm sorry.
Captain James Hook: What are you? Some kind of a sadist?
Smee: I'm sorry. I'm sorry. How do you feel now?
Captain James Hook: I want to die.

Did you do a full installation of the BGII:SoA + the full installation of ToB, if you have, the game takes about 2.7 Gb space, before you did anything else(add the mod space etc.)... Another thing, what does the baldur.ini say under the heading [Alias]And, yes, I do have a full install for BGII/Throne of Bhaal, and it is patched. I have no idea what to do.
HD0:=?
CD1:=?
CD2:=?
CD3:=?
CD4:=?
CD5:=?
As you are using Vista, you need to turn the UAC is off and then check that the BGII\ directory doesn't have read-only flag(right click from mouse on top of the directory), before...
Check that your baldur.ini in C:\Games\BGII has this :
[Alias] HD0:=C:\Games\BGII\ CD1:=C:\Games\BGII\CD1\ CD2:=C:\Games\BGII\CD2\;C:\Games\BGII\CD2\ CD3:=C:\Games\BGII\CD3\ CD4:=C:\Games\BGII\CD4\ CD5:=C:\Games\BGII\CD5\
If it doesn't, just edit it in by copy paste and delete the old info.

[Alias]
HD0:=C:\BGII
CD1:=C:\BGII\CD1\
CD2:=C:\BGII\CD2\
CD3:=C:\BGII\CD3\
CD4:=C:\BGII\CD4\
CD5:=C:\BGII\CD5\
I also have the newest BGII Fixpack and CtB installed. When I try to proceed with BGT this keep prompting: Invalid Baldur's Gate directory, or Baldur's Gate installation. Undetectable Windows version. Possibly too new. Installation may fail.
I'd be grateful for help

You are installing in the BGII:SoA+ToB+patch directory, and giving the (BGI+TotSC+patch)s directory, right?Invalid Baldur's Gate directory... I'd be grateful for help
Edit: How much space does the full installs take, the BGI+TotSC+patch should take 2.5Gb's, and the BGII+ToB+patch should take about 2.7Gb's without any mods.

Right.
And if you are using space(s), you need to put the whole directory to quotes, like "C:\Program Files\Games\BGII\" . And the directories are separate!!! Right?
Directories are separate. The quotes are present. "C:\BG\"
I installed both parts of BG into the directories mentioned <they are not cut out form the C:\Program Files etc> so the baldur.ini file looked like that without me changing anything. But yes, I got rid off the read-only flags.And neither of your BG directories have the Read-only flag(which can be got rid off by turning the UAC off on Vista), right?
And then you need to make sure the (BGII:SoA+ToB)s baldur.ini has the right under the [Alias] header...
Sniff..
EDIT
I've everything reinstalled (the same way like before... I hope). It worked but not perfectly - during installation of BGT this keept prompting:
Exception Processing Message 0x0000013 Parameters 0x7611023C 0x83CD9CEC 0x7611023C 0x7611023C
For now, the game seems to work properly. I've few more mods to install before playing. Keep your fingres crossed..

How I remove the read-only flag? Every folder in Vista has read only attributes, and they revert back to read only when I try to remove the attribute...

By turning the UAC(User Account Control) off... It's also recommended that you install the game to somewhere else than in C:\Program Files\... as it might have a special guardlock in it to not allow it to be disabled.How I remove the read-only flag? Also, make sure you are entering your Baldur's Gate directory correctly. You need to click on the folder path in Explorer to get the correct path (C:\Program Files\...). When I did this, installation completed with no problems, but I followed all the directions (full installs, patches, etc.). I didn't need to change the read-only flag on Program Files as this only prevents executables from chaning programs in memory; you can still run the install. I've also seen mention of taking ownership of the folders, but this also wasn't necessary.
