So I am getting these problems if I turn user account off and my computer warns me to keep it on as a safety measure. I would rather keep it on. Any solutions to this problem? Has anyone encountered this before? (Remember my OS is windows vista)

"If you think that a size of the mod indicates an amount of bugs that it introduces and their severity you're totally wrong...
Try not to use next time a load of shitty "super-mega-improving-tweaking-revising" small mods that you have installed and try to meet Wulfgar once again." - King Diamond

"Finding food and a place to sleep is your own business. I imagine Paul the Cat should have some fun with you, too" - Potencius in The Darkest Day
"You have been warned, little bastard!" -Khelben to a young <CHARNAME>in Check the Bodies
There are those who will snivel, and offer nothing in return except criticism, meanwhile never lifting a finger to do other than to cut other peoples labor down simply for the fact that they lack the capability to put anything of their own together. -erebusant

Why in the frell would you to turn it on again? Cause you'll be doing yourself harm this way......
I don't know the actual right way of doing this, but you could try this: turn the UAC off, redirecting(copy/paste) the game directory to different directory(something that starts with C:/ but doesn't have the 'Program Files' in it, for example; C:/games/BG2) then editing the baldur.ini in C:/games/BG2 so it has this, and:
[Alias] HD0:=C:\games\BG2\ CD1:=C:\games\BG2\CD1\ CD2:=C:\games\BG2\CD2\;C:\games\BG2\CD2\ CD3:=C:\games\BG2\CD3\ CD4:=C:\games\BG2\CD4\ CD5:=C:\games\BG2\CD5\instead of the usual... then try the game that it runs.
Then you need to go to the file Properties and turn off the Read-only flag. If done right, this allows you to save, and then you can turn the UAC on again...

Wow, the only way I could install BG1 and do some BGT installs on Vista was to turn the account control off. I was using the 5 CD and Xpansion so maybe that was why. I play the game with the account control off and the world still turns...
when i played bg 1 it installed and worked fine with account control off. but yea, I had to turn it off to extract mod files straight to the bgII root folder. I could have copy and pasted but I figured it was better to turn it off.

Well as it's meant to prevent programs being deleted or overwritten by non-administeratorial users that don't know what they are doing, I would say that it prevents your usage(saving etc.), nothing more. Unless you...do you think I messed something up by turning it on?
As I gave you the advice, it goes around the UAC by;
1) Allowing you to use the space to more than to read-only stage.
2) The C:\Program Files\ has been especially protected by the UAC to never to be allowed to be open to anything but read-only stage, and thus also it's sub-folders, thus the game folder and the save folder. The idiot Macrosoft people and their tricks.
