Heya,

I had a strange bug in the Copper Coronet.  When I entered the tavern for the first time I heard the sounds of some people dying which I thought was a bit odd.  I then noticed that the two thugs guarding the doors to the slave arena and Madame Nin's were dead (w/o any loot left behind either).  After talking to Lehtinan and getting his permission to look around I went into Madame Nin's area.  to my surprise all the guards were hostile.  I slaughtered them (of course) but found that the non-combatants were red-circled after that.  I went back to the auto-save and tried again with the same result.  It wasn't a big deal as I just ctrl-y'd the guards this time so the patrons wouldn't go hostile.  It was an annoying bug but not a game breaker.  I'm just posting this in case somebody wants to find out what happened.  I suspect it's either SCS II or Rogue Rebalancing that's the culprit but that's just an educated guess...

Oh, on another unrelated topic - I noticed you don't recommend installing COM encounters anymore.  I have it installed in my current game and was wondering what bugs I might expect and if they're game breaking...

Here's my WeiDu log:

I have some similar problems, in my every game when i enter the cc for the first time bouncer dyes and there are some hostile guards in back rooms but thats it, no one else goes hostile. Neither RR(why do you suspect this?) nor SCS cause that. I think it's imp. cc from DSoA, maybe alone maybe in combination with another mode.

Oh, on another unrelated topic - I noticed you don't recommend installing COM encounters anymore. I have it installed in my current game and was wondering what bugs I might expect and if they're game breaking...

That's right, but I don't think CoM encounters does the problem, because with CoM encounters you get some CTDs when you entering areas.

O.K. with DeusEx response, we have here a problem, that affects not only you.

smeagolheart have you had the same problem or somebody else?

I could need help?!? :(

Greetings Leomar

It is DSoA that adds more hostile guards. Something else adds the dead bouncers or whatever. I have that instance as well and never narrowed it down because when I played DSoA on smaller installs, it just added guards to fight.

Heya,

I had a strange bug in the Copper Coronet.
...
I suspect it's either SCS II or Rogue Rebalancing that's the culprit but that's just an educated guess...

Rogue Rebalancing doesn't alter anything in the Copper Coronet, neither the creatures within that tavern, nor their dialogues nor their scripts.

I thoought RR may have added content to the CC but according to aVENGER that's not the case.  I believe the non-combatants became hostile when I attacked the guards in their line of sight.  When I ctrl-y'd the guards it didn't happen.

It appears that another mod is affecting the Improved Copper Coronet from DSoA.  I too have played that component before w/o problems so I don't think it's DSoA causing this.  The added guards are hostile from the start w/o any provocation.  I thought maybe SCS II because it tweaks the AI.

If innocents are going hostile than that has to have something to do with the SHOUT script that they have and may have been changed. I have had that happen sporadically even with other mods where characters retreat back to a point that may not have retreated back to before when battling those guards.

BP changes their (bouncers AI) and so does SCS2. DoS (desecration...) has some different GUARD1.CRE that I bet may be the instant death on entry types.

Oh the thing with the SHOUTS? I have had that happen sometimes when I retreat back in battle where commoners are (none of the mods in question specifically) could be vanilla too. Especially in this scenario, players may be tempted to retreat to prep or something and the guards follow them out. I need more specifics of how and where exactly in the CC it is happening. If Hendak is going hostile, then spells are hitting him.

I never had too unusual problems in Copper Coronet. Like others said, Guards automatically hostile in the top room where Rumar and his sweetheart are. The rest seemed normal to me as same as vanilla.

This happened before I freed Hendak so Lehtinan was still the owner at the time.  He did not go hostile.  The timing was right after I got Lehtinan's permission to 'look around'.  I think the bouncers are door-keepers and they must have a script for preventing the the guards going hostile when you talk to them after Lehtinan's blessing.  Of course, the bouncers were both dead when I first entered the CC so they couldn't perforn their duties.  As for the where, Madame Nin, Rumar, his girlfriend and some commoners went hostile in the upstairs room.  Later on when I was trying to free Hendak, some guards attacked me in the arena and the barker in that location went hostile on me too.

Incidentally, after Hendak took over the CC everything was fine...
