So. Status update.
The spanish translation is 100% done in all respects. Awesome work, Ghildrean.
German could be released, albeit with no translated readmes and with translated (as opposed to transcribed, which would be preferable) sounds.tra and subtitles.tra.
Clan Dlan has found an italian translator that is working on sounds.tra and subtitles.tra, and should be done by this weekend from what I understand. Yakkuz finished the Fixpack readme, and hopefully he'll make an appearance over the next few days and deliver the other two.
So, we should be looking at release for v2.0 sometime over the next four days

There's also the matter of double checking the same component's transcription of the german version that can be accomplished in the meantime.
But don't worry, nothing is going to be held up for the sake of readmes.

What files are missing for a french translation of your pack ?

See the stickied thread for all the files necessary, though if you downloaded the mod you can also find them in all the .tra directories.

All of them, far as I know. Someone mentioned possibly working on a French translation a long time ago, but I never heard anything more about it.
See the stickied thread for all the files necessary, though if you downloaded the mod you can also find them in all the .tra directories.

I'll see what I can do...

Can you please tell me where this line is used ?
The woman nods and runs away hurriedly. You don't expect to see her again.

I've the official french version of PS:T and some statistical descriptions of spell or item are different from the vanilla english version.
For example, le Soin de blessures critiques (CURE CRITICAL WOUNDS) as written gives 3-24+3 HP but in the english version, it gives always 27 HP.
From what I saw, this is also the case with the german version.
Stellt 3-24 + 3 Trefferpunkte für das Zielwesen wieder her.
Specific fixes would be needed for the non english official (german and french) versions if some descriptions are wrong...(And this is the case)

First let me say that I have done both fixes and tweaks and that they install fine on the Polish 4cd version. I haven't tested much, but I brought out some old saves and tested Save Nordom!, which works perfectly, and wanted to test Tome of Cheats, because I thought it was easily accessible. I loaded a game from the Festhall area and headed to Vrishika's shop and it crashed. When I read the readme more closely I found out that in Tweak version you get the ToC in the beginning, and yeah, it works fine after starting a new game. But I still get a crash when entering Vrishika's shop, could it be because I haven't started a new game and just reused some old saves?
Apart from it, I have some other doubts:
1. Dak'kon's Streaming Blade. Polish dialog.tlk has three versions of its description: one 'normal' blade (like chained blade), one with silver glow that can cut through chainmail and one with a radiant silver glow that can cut through the thickest armour. The English .tra uses the second description for all versions of the blade and yarpen's translation uses the first one for each. I suppose that the first goes to +1 version, the second to +2 and the third to +3. Am I correct?
2. Word o' Law and Chaos Cheat
@34 = ~VERY Lawful.~ @35 = ~Barely Lawful.~ @36 = ~Barely Chaotic.~ @37 = ~VERY Chaotic.~Was Neutral intentionally left out?
3. From the fixpack
@48157 = ~"Subject now conversing with human female."~ [] @48158 = ~"Subject now playing a game with human female."~ []What's the purpose of those lines? I assume that they're for the Modrons in the Brothel, but is Dolora ever really seen conversing with women?
4. From UB
@00024 = ~Sealed Closet~What object does it refer to? It's so minor that it probably doesn't matter anyway, but 'closet' can translate to more than one word depending on the meaning.
5. Ratbone and Carver
So, which character is the true Ratbone and which gets renamed? Personally, I love the Polish translation of Ratbone's name... And I assume that Carver is meant to mean someone who carves flesh and bone rather than wood?

1. I'll have to look into this, I'm not quite sure what you mean in these. But yes, there are at least 10 operative descriptions of Dak'kon's blade, I think:
a. One for pre-level 4.
b. Three for level 4-6: low, medium and high morale
c. Three for level 7-9: low, medium and high morale
c. Three for level 10+: low, medium and high morale
I don't need to modify them all for the fixpack changes, though.
2. Not exactly, I just reused string @30 from the Good/Evil cheat selection.
3. You are correct, they belong to the brothel modrons. And yes, there is a female brothel patron. There was a ton of non-functional scripting in the vanilla game that was intended to have all the brothel patrons interact (i.e. walk up to and do talking animations for a while) with the prostitutes, but it was mostly not working due to the same scripting issue that kept hundreds of floating text lines from showing up elsewhere in the game. When I solved that issue, and the prostitutes and patrons started interacting, I noted that the modrons used the "with human male" line even when the patron was the female one, so I added those two lines to be used in her case.
4. This refers to the closet in your room in the Festhall, the one with openable doors. It is sealed in my Expanded Deionarra's Truth mod until late in the game.
5. The thief trainer is named Ratbone in the released game, while the Ratbone involved in the Pendant of Yemeth Quest was an unused file, but both creature files were originally named Ratbone. I picked the thief trainer to rename because the PoY quest guy's occupation seemed to fit the name well, and IIRC the dialogue actually discusses his name, while the thief trainer's dialogue didn't really give any indication of why he'd be named that. It seemed (since it was clearly just a nickname in both cases) that the thief trainer would be more likely to get a nickname for being an expert knife fighter. So Carver is what I came up with.
EDIT: There was some other good reason I picked the thief trainer to rename, rather than the PoY guy, trying to remember. I think you can tell the devils about Ratbone, and it seemed better to rename the guy who wasn't referenced anywhere outside his own dialogue, as opposed to the guy whose name popped up in multiple dialogues.

P.S. Note that the files you're translating are still version 3.0... at some point I'm going to have to put together the new stuff for version 4.0. Shouldn't be that much, nowhere near what you've translated already, but will you be available for those when the time comes?

As for the Dak'kons blades. If I'm not mistaken, Dak'kon's morale affects the type of the blade (whether it's the Streaming Blade, Chained Blade or the Kinslayer) and his level affects its power (+1, +2 and +3 versions). As I understand it, the fixpack replaces all three power versions of the Streaming Blade and the final two of the Chained Blade (+2 and +3), while the Kinslayer remains unaffected. I find it fitting that the descriptions should be affected by the growing power of the blade, as they do in dialog.tlk, but not in the fixpack.tra, where descriptions differ just between the different blades, but not between respective power levels.
In fact, in Polish translation it's even more complicated - it's quite obvious that different versions of the blade were translated by at least two different people. The English desriptions all start with the same paragraph about Limbo and end with one about parchments wound around the hilt. In Polish, the paragraphs have basically the same meaning, but are worded differently across the different versions. Phrases that refer to memorising additional spells are worded differently, too, as is the name of the blade itself (it's either 'dakkon's zerth blade' or 'dakkon's zerth sword').
I decided to unify the wording of sentences which are obviously meant to be the same, but leave different descriptions of blade's power intact. I hope I'm not being too pedantic.
Possibly. It depend on the workload in this academic year, it's time for physical chemistry and that's nothing to laugh at.P.S. Note that the files you're translating are still version 3.0... at some point I'm going to have to put together the new stuff for version 4.0. Shouldn't be that much, nowhere near what you've translated already, but will you be available for those when the time comes?
edit: it may be a bit simplistic, but when translating Anna's MorteTeeth dialogue I thought about a good name for Carver - Kosa, it means a scythe but in Polish (as well as sigilan-polish) slang it also means any knife and is usually associated with low, dirty murders.

As I told you by pm, I was wondering if you were interested by a french translation of your mods?
I know that french people have begun to translate 2 of your 3 PsT's mods in french, but I also read that they were away. Have you got some news about them? And if not, will you be agree if the d'Oghmatiques will translated its? One of our translator is fond of PsT and interested in translating its.

Anyways... haven't heard anything from the French guys in a while, no. Let me try to contact them and see what's up, I'd hate to see a lot of work get duplicated. Will let ya know.
Again, sorry for the non-reply earlier.

I've just finished XPDeionarra.tra, so I'm basically done with the Polish translation. I want to polish it up a bit so I'm going to give it a few days of rest and then proofread the whole thing for spelling errors or sloppy grammar. I'll post all the files then.

Please keep in touch (or leave me with a way to get in touch with you), as there will be a minor amount more necessary for version 4.0 when that gets released. It'll be comparatively pretty minor compared to what you've already done.

Now, if only I could deal with the slowdowns, I could play it properly... Does anyone even look in the Nvidia problems topic in the IE general help forum anymore? I'd appreciate some reply, even if just telling me to rtfm, actually.
edit:very minor change
