if someone would sell a Khalid toy like that i would buy it! is very tender

Yea small cuddly chibi dolls :) I would love to have them as action figures as well, with movable joints so they would be more fun to play with.

Quality art on that last page, Flysoup, as always! I'm always eager to read and see the rest, so keep up the good work!

Oh, and if you manufactured those chibi's as little cuddly action figure dolls, I'd buy the whole set! ;)

A defiler riding his beetle (Dark Sun setting). I am actually going to play this character in a good old school pen and paper game next week. Though the Gamemaster wont allow me to have the beetle...

The saga continues; page 56-57, colored on my laptop so the colors looked weird...hopefully it looks ok on your screen
whoever you are. I have also started to use a own created font now.

Credit for layout on page 57 goes to prune 1. I first had the middle panel as the last one without text. prune 1 suggested the current layout that in my mind improved the feeling of the page amazingly!

Ouch!! That looks painful!

I have a query, though, why can we only see the whites of Viconia's eyes in the last panel of page 56? Even if she were unconscious, and if her eyes rolled up, we'd at least have the inferior portion of her irises showing, no? Just a thought. :)

All bets are open as to who Viconia's mysterious savior is!! I'm thinking Scimitar and therefore Drizzt! ^_^ (nah, I know it's silly!)

-Oh, it looks ok allright... or rather, it more fantastic then just merely ok.
The layout adds a lot to the action-packed feeling. On both pages.

To put it short; I'm lovin' it, as always. Really been waiting for you to pick up the pen on this one.

Ps.
@Eleima; I'd say it's her 'brother' (as was).

About the whites of Viconia's eyes; yea it might not be coorectly portrayed if it reefer to 'reality'. But I decided to have it like that since I think it adds more pain nand death in the expression. Again that is the beauty with fantasy and comics; that one can exaggerate things to the extreme :) I have had others guessing of Drizzt as the potential savior, we will see if it is so. And can Viconia be saved? Questions that needs an answer :)

Thank you for still reading the comic friend, even though I lack fast updates. Once the BG Comic web site is ready to go then I will make more effort to speed up the updates. Interesting guess on her brother Valas, we will see if that guess is a winner :)

Thank you everyone for the inspiring comments!

I'm as much in the dark as anyone else as to who it is wielding that blade. My guess, as I put it to fly already, is Drizzt.

Valas is an interesting one; didn't occur to me because, well, do driders use swords and such? I think of them more as beastly type characters, with claws sharp enough to do damage enough or something along those lines...

Could be anyone, really, though.

Can I be a real PITA and have a go at the position of that scimitar please? Okay, I know it's a fantasy comic but.... you'd have to be as powerful as Abdel to get the point of a blade through (probably) six ribs and a sternum (breast bone) for it to go through a body in the upright position as shown. Secondly, it would be *almost* impossible to withdraw it as the ends of the bone would close over the blade.

Now, if it went through with the flat of the blade parallel to the ground and to the left/right of the sternum.... easy because you wouldn't need to go through bone.

-Y-

Edit: Typo.

Heh. Well maybe it *is* Abdel... and/or a scimitar +5.

The main thing that bothers me is, judging from the angle, you should be able to see at least part of the hilt and upper blade behind her, possibly the assailant's arm as well (unless he threw it). Maybe changing the background behind her so it's much darker would solve that (presumably they're in the Underdark or somewhere else drowish after all).

Could be anyone indeed :) Thanks for all the help in crafting the comic friend!

Glad you like the work, and indeed; driders use weapons. I have seen some portray them with clawliked hands though but I am unsure if they have such. Still it looks cool and that is all that matters to me :)

As mentioned above, all that matters to me is that it looks cool, if I would have to take consideration to real facts and details like that all the time then the comic would be very limited visually in the long run. I think it was John Howe that were criticised for the beast that the Nazgul rode due to that with such a anatomy it would be unable to fly. But he replied something similar with; -I don't care, they look cool. And as mentioned below it could be a magical weapon, common it is the forgotten realms we speak about ;)

You have a point about the angle, but I didn't want to reveal what was behind :) The light source is from the spell that Viconia's mother has activated. It will soon fade though :)

Anyway, from this to something else, this is an update from the pen and paper adventuring I am involved in once a week;

Here is the group of adventurers in the game adventure for 2nd Edition AD&D; Dark Sun setting that I play in. We are currently being held as slaves and it didn't take long for us to get captured by some templar's. I walked in to the adventure with a high confidence based on the stats of the characters in our group. But within a haste we were humiliated and defeated both fysically and mentally. So here they are with shaved heads, small puppets controlled by the evil mind of the gamemaster. I play as the defiler in the middle. No I am not a nerd, just a ordinary fantasy geek.

I forgot to write thank you all for the constructive criticism written above :) I am taking it all in and many of the previous pages has actually been changed based on the critisicm i receive from all the members here and at other forums as well. It also helps me to improve. So again thank you all! (And I agree at many pointers about the *sword issue above but I still think it looks cool :) )

*It actually isn't the point of a sword though even though it looks like it ;) Based on the criticism I will show more of the weapon behind Viconia's mother due to the angle of it. Something like this: still an angle problem though since the stabber must surely be a tiny halfling... well well..I'll just leave it like that. Lets just say that the halbeard/spear has been released by the stabber thus falling down a bit. More blood added as well  Phew, enough I have another page to start :)

Hi friends!
The saga continues within the dark pits of the Underdark.
Prune 1 did rewrite the dialogue in panel 4 and it amazingly improved the feeling and quality of the dialogues. Tons of credit for that! I am going to start crafting some intro pages for the comic that will only be presented on the upcoming BG Comic webpage. So the updates will slow down a bit from now on. I hope you all wont forget the comic though because it will start again on a new webpage with a lot of none published pages. I will update some continious pages on the web though but the main focus will be put into the crafting of the upcoming BG Comic page. The comic will be named the Bhaalspawn. So see you soon in a couple of month's on the brand new webpage :)

Hi, here is a sample of the edit progress of the BG comic that will be uploaded on the upcoming webpage named Bhaalspawn. Visual edits in this sample includes some black contrast add's, closing some opened inking lines and color adjustments. On this page I also gave Sarevok's Sword of Chaos a visual level up :) Other edits: Added the Baldur's Gate coat of arms on the shield and the clothing of the Duce, more buildings in the grand city of Baldur's Gate and adjusted Sarevok's skin color. The script edit is done by prune 1 at Spellhold Studios. Due to his awesome script adds I just had to facelift the visuals as well. I used a more sketchy style before he joined the crafting.
The edited page is to the right. Good speed to you all and hope to see you on the upcoming webpage in a couple of month's :)
