Those who enjoy a Protracted Combative Challenge with considerable resource planning, and enjoy Tactical challenges, can feel free to apply

The Testing will occur Scenario by Scenario, so that in the final product, there will be (hopefully) 3 maps, each which can have about 6 scenario possibilities (3 Easy and 3 Medium).
The Scenarios will tentatively be
1) Defence (Easy) : basically simple. just hold back the tides of baddies from the friendly Commander, until the leaders of the enemy army show up, then kill them
2) Last Stand (Medium) : similar to defence, the only difference is the enemies come from more directions and in larger waves. you will probably need to split up your party for this one
3) Assault (Easy) : protect your friendly Commander as he leads the friendly forces to assault the enemy. The final Opponent is probably something you can't defeat without considerable Allied Support
4) Charge (Medium) : same as Assault, except that your assault group may get attacked from both sides during the fight. You will also have to protect your starting camp from invasions, since you lose the map if your starting base is taken out.
5) Escort (Easy) : basically just take out enemy forces as the friendly Commander travels. you can tell the Commander to stop and stay put. the enemy squads are largely static, for you to think how to take them out with minimum fuss. You can also lure them to your Commander and the sub-Commanders with him. Note the difference between Assault and Escort is that Escort has limited numbers of both Allies and Enemies, and there is no tough final boss to take out.
6) Flight (Medium) : same as Escort, but there's ambushes, and enemy squads will be occasionally reinforced and also sometimes rove towards the Commander, or patrol an area. furthermore, there's a timed challenge - after a certain point in time, a powerful powerful Enemy will appear on the trail of the Commander from behind. If it catches up with your Commander you can kiss the scenario goodbye.
Scenarios 1 and 3 will probably be implemented first, then scenarios 2 and 4. Last of all will be 5 and 6.
Those interested please feel free to drop me a PM. If the idea really excites you, or repulses you, just post to this thread

=======
For those who have not played Sylmar Battlefield before, the reward for a scenario completed is generally bonus XP, Gold and Reputation.
The "reward" for failing a scenario is XP and Reputation Loss.
I will try to implement it in such a way that scenarios can be replayed.
