2 Bugs with BiG WP in BG1 Part

Hi there,

I ecountered 2 bugs in the BG1 portion of the game:

1. After cleaning the Nashkell Mines I encountered a group of female assassines. Their boss calles something like "Lamalla", but I'm not sure anymore.
Anyway, they are located in the are that you automatically come to, when leaving the Nashkell Mines.
The problem is, that when I killed "Lamallha.. or Lamalla", the game crashed. No error, just CTD.

2. In Cloakwood 2, when I go into the Spiders' Nest, They game crashes "sometimes". Apart that this cave is so difficult :crying: , I won't help me that the game crashes... I don't know if it's the Spider animations (I don't think so, because with spiders outside that cave I wouldn't have problems) or the coll new animation of the Spiderqueen, or if it is the spells (e.g. TheQueen continues to summon new spiders... maybe that ist the Problem)

I have the same problem with "Lamalha", but in my case the game crashes before I have the chance to kill her, more precisely when she starts casting a spell. Information about her can be found with near infinity at lamalh.cre but as I am not that good at using this tool yet I can't find the problem, maybe is something wrong with a spell...

In the German Forum we have some gamers, they have the same problems. The big one is the area after the Nashkell mines. Someone knows that the problem is Lamalha, but others don't see this gang but have CTDs. Could somebody help us with the two problems Marvin mentioned?

I've noticed something about Lamalha that makes me think that maybe there are two mods that affect her that is why there is a CTD. More precisely when I attacked her from the south the game didn't crash but her companions didn't appear except one, but when I attacked her from the west all her companions appeared and when she casts the first spell the CTD happens.

To check which mods affect the file write the following in the command line:
weidu --change-log filename

I strongly suspect Divine Remix is responsible for CTD...

Yup. I have everything except Divine Remix and no problems with Lamalha...

:P Too late... I already did since I have these problems and I am far away until my next reinstall so maybe there is a solution to solve this problem now...

So is it a spell she casts? A little detective work can see what spell it is and find the backup file of that spell in the Divine Remix mod files. Last time I had DR, I didn't have problems with these girls but maybe there is a new incompatible mod now. I left it out this time for other reasons that suit my tastes.

I don't see that Divine Remix touches lamalh.cre directly, but it might do it by regexp or editing her spellbook. If someone with the problem can zip and upload their .cre I can try looking at it. It could well be a combination of SCS and DR, because SCS does some funky things with lamalh.cre.

Is this the .cre from BGT with SCS and DR installed? It's weird, because it looks almost just like the .cre from my Tutu install and uses some Tutu conventions like underscores in scripts which I thought BGT didn't use.

Her spells are the same, so maybe the problem is with her script, which SCS modifies. If you can decompile and export your _priest4.bcs to .baf (copy and paste from DLTCEP is maybe the easiest way if you have that set up) it might shed some light on the matter. Or you could just try testing without SCS (Smarter Priests at least) and see if you can replicate it.

@Marvin - do you have SCS Harder Spiders installed? This might be your second issue.

I installed everything in the changelog but no crash for me.
Maybe a changelog of her scripts is needed.

That's probably due to SCS - I use underscores to distinguish (SCS-modified) BG1 scripts from BG2 scripts, even in BGT. (To make SCS compatible with either Big Picture or SCSII AI, it has to rename various scripts. The original SCSBGT renamed "mageX" to "DWmageX"; I decided it was simpler just to borrow the TUTU conventions.)
