Bahahahahaha. (Is it just me or is this thread a little too light-hearted for the subject matter...?)Need I explain?
I really like the one with Firkraag and the dog, too.

And now is the time for more serious stuff. The worst nightmares are hidden in the Bhaalspawn's soul.
That dark thing on the wall is supposed to be her shadow in the slayer form.

(I suggest you go and read my post where In suggested this theme in the suggestion thread. I was fully prepared for slight sillyness even with this topic, even if Ilmy wrote the introduction post in such a way that it seems a *lot* more serious. )
(By the way, I'm honoured that my theme was chosen. )

I have to say Lythari's latest entry, representing what I consider to be the Bhaalspawn's worst nightmare, tops it all. It's a very powerful image to me, as I've always imagine the PC to be this courageous person, except when it comes down to this one thing. Why fear goblins, illithids, and drow when you could become, at any moment, a terrible creature which could slay all your closest friends in one fell swoop... That lone candle and the great ominous shadow on the wall... Wow, Lythari!!!

Lythari, that's great! The way she's huddled on herself, as if she was cold too... And I like the way the Slayer shadow isn't some overdone "spiky the lobster-monster", but rather something imprecise, uncertain... It's much more scary that way. Things that are fully known are less frightening

To say the truth, I didn't expect that it will cause such... impressions. That's... really nice from you.

No, I do not have awesome and subtle and beautiful ways to portray which gender a character belongs to.

I'm no great artist, but I have an idea that I might try to bring to life sometime. Time to go dig out those old colored pencils...

Abigail's picture is also good. Such future perspective can be scary.
And Sammi, your works are good also in digital. That dark background and distant light make it really deep and vivid, and her pose is so convincing.
