That's a great idea, to let a female main character coach Viconia to true neutral as the males could. After all true friends are supposed to help each other toward greater goals and greater good, and in life many people know how you can be close friends with many and there does not have to be romantic involvement attached for that, so gender relationship preference could be disregarded as it is only a character friendship. In other words you don't have to have a Chloe situation, but there may not be many people in opposition to the possibility in this modern day and age even if you did.
The character Viconia has been ill treated by Drow and surfacer both, and this has only reenforced her evil outlook, hate, lack of trust, etc. After I play through
SoA and
ToB this time I look forward to downloading your friendship mod. I wonder if you are going to get this post, you made your mod so long ago. But if you do, please reply. I would even help you write dialogue if you would like. I do not know how to mod but I can write for you. I happen to like this character's personality. I knew there was more than a B**** within her soul since rescuing her from the Flaming Fist in
BG1 (aside from the fact she follows Shar, but is this because she was only taught of Lolth), and I wanted to know her story better, so I reluctantly used the CLUA to be a male as many females of the Realms have done (so I had to put up with many comments written for males I disliked through
SoA) but just seeing her change to true neutral was worth it. I always thought, why are these writers so limited in their scope as to only make this alignment change available to males? People's attitudes in life are redeemable, why not characters, which were modeled after our lives in a sense. I'll post again after I play through again with your friendship mod. It may be a few months as I have many familial resposibilities, but I enjoy Baldur's Gate and am reluctant to try other RPGs because from their desciptions, I am not sure they will match up to this excellent series!
