So, I never finished BG 1 and never started BG 2, so I apologize if this is well known.  I installed BGT to play through BG 1 & 2 finally, and one annoying thing I remember about the BG1 engine is that if you saved a lot, any areas that weren't totally "cleared" (all black uncharted areas removed) had monster encounters that increased in difficulty to "penalize" you for "save cheating" your way through exploring an area.

Does anyone know if this feature was either removed from the BG2 engine, or if BGT turns it off, or if there is another mod that can turn it off?

Thanks.

You could try BGT Tweaks with it's "Tutu Styled" levelling spawns which replaces the areas spawning with a new spawn system that co-incides with number in party and level of party.
