I'm not saying the Anomen romance isnt good, I'm just saying a lot of people don't play it as much anymore. Do you think I would have drawn it if I didnt feel sorry for Anomen not getting as much attention?

Heh, I actually liked Anomen. Sure, he could be annoying (and in fact, my nickname for him at times was "Annoy-me"), but I still liked him. The only thing that got on my nerves was his choice of words, and that was only due to the fact I was playing the German version: He adressed me with "Ihr", which might be appropriate to the medieval-like setting, but these days it just feels overly formal. The only people you'd adress with "Ihr" these days are nobility, and even then people might not bother and use the formal address for everyone: "Sie". There's no way they could have really done this different here, but still, it just feels awkward if your love adresses you as if you are high nobility, even if he's actually much more noble than you are.

But nevertheless, I have to admit I had a bit of a crush on him back then. These days I've moved on and am attracted to other love interests, but I still remember that first romance fondly.

His voice was alright in the German version. It took until I got my hands on an English copy that I understood what the people were complaining about.

In any case, I love your pictures, Sammi! I *so* agree with the first one! And Chibi Edwin is just cute! *cuddles Edwin*

@Orthodoxia: I loooooove your idea (I also love your style, but I've said that to death... )! I've never really considered there could be any rivalry between my PC and Immy, cause they were just so different: Imoen, the perky, happy-go-lucky one, and me, PC, the shy, reserved, quiet I'll-do-what-I-have-to-but-won't-make-a-big-deal-out-of-it one. Hum, not sure I made much sense there, but my point remains valid.

@ Sammi: Always a fan of your work, and this time, I think my favorite is the Xan-Anomen rivalry (Xan & Ano inone pic!!! what more could a girl ask for?!?! ), and a close second place is the Edwin-Xan rivalry. Color Spray!!!! Tha just made me Lol!! Thumbs up!!!

I hate Anomen, and yes, it's mostly the voice, but he's also a giant ass. He gets off to a bad start with his boasting (yeah yeah you killed a giant...I'm a Child of Bhaal and saviour of Baldurs' Gate, so shut up already!), then gets all drama queenish over his sister. He gets annoyed when you become the Slayer (no sympathy from him after youv'e had your soul ripped out and are dying, oh no!) and of all your companions, he is the one who complains most when you wind up in Hell. Argh I hate him! He *does* make a great stooge for Romantic Encounters, though. How I enjoyed torturing him with all my flings!
Thank god for mods, is all I can say!

Eleima - Thanks! Well, the core of the whole Bhaalspawn thing is rivalry, and well, more rivalry. And rivalry in any shape and form.

And Sammi's Edwin-Xan colorspray is great. Go Edwin! You show Xan what real magic is!

And I could never stomach Anomen myself. People say he can be sweet and romantic but I've never seen any of that. The thing that irked me most about him is the fact that he's a knight. I don't like knights in shiny armor who think that all women of the realms dream to be swept off their feet or rescued from their ivory tower!

I've been play the Legacy of Kain game series lately more than BGII. Edwin's a bit irritated over that. For those that haven't played LoK, Raziel (the blue guy) is an undead soul sucking wraith. Hence Xan's distaste.
