Hi,

I'm relatively new to BG2 mods. I'd played BG1/BG2/ToB in their vanilla form nigh unto death, and only really found out about some of the truly amazing sounding mods that are out a few months back.

So I was wondering.... where do I start?

I've got BG1 and BG2 installed with ToTSC and ToB, I've got BGT Downloaded and ready to install. But from there, I'm pretty well lost.

Do you have Winrar or other .rar file archive manager? If not, then get it. Then unrar the package you downloaded and cut and paste the content to the BG2 directory, read the ReadMe that comes within the files, and you'll be set, as the installation instructions are inside.

Ask for more, if you need.

Moved to IE Modding Discussion.

To me, it sounds as if you're asking for mod recommendations. There are a number of threads in this forum that contains just that, and there are lots of installation guides around, as well. In any case, it would help if you could specify exactly what it is you're looking for.

Well, pretty much anything in the way of expanded content, beyond BGT.

I've played all of the original games to death, so getting some of the megamods to work with BGT would be a big plus for me. More than one if possible.

I'd like to take a party from the start of BG1 to the end of ToB and through some of the other Mod Campaigns as well.

Currently I'm working on getting a fresh BGT install to work with the weimer mods and the BG1 NPC project. If I can do that, I'll copy it into another directory and use that as a base for further mod installs.

Well, this is actually the recommended guide, with this(the .pdf file), and there is just a one thing, which is, the more you stick to the instructions and less number of mods you have, the fewer chances there is that you mess your installation, but you still need the right combos.
