I've spent several hours trying to figure this out but i can't find why I still get the message
----------------------------------------------------------------
Invalid Baldur's Gate directory, or
incorrect Baldur's Gate installation.
It is safe to abort this installation by closing this window, or
pressing Ctrl+Break three times.

------------------------------------------------------
Enter the full path to your Baldur's Gate installation
then press Enter.

I've read the doc and the following topic http://www.shsforums...showtopic=32744
Here's some infos on my setup :
I got the 5+1 CD french version of BG1
Installed in directory e:\baldur with only the official patch 5512
Using BGT v1.05b
Thanks in advance if anyone has an idea

like e:\Black Isle\Baldur's Gate
It will not find it automatically so you have to manually type it in when prompted.

Doesn't your Baldur's gate game exist in a __:\Black Isle\ extension and then Baldur's Gate folder?
like e:\Black Isle\Baldur's Gate
It will not find it automatically so you have to manually type it in when prompted.
I've launched the game from this directory to be sure my install was good.
In my previous installation, I used e:\baldur's gate. But I read that special characters can interfer with the dos command so I uninstalled everything and reinstalled it in a shorter, no space folder.
I'm guessing it may be because I got the french version, but I don't know what BGT is checking to be sure it's the good folder

And you are installing this to the BG2 folder(full install of BG2:SoA+BG2:ToB +patch v26498), for example in E:\Baldur's Gate 2\ , right?
And the BGT installer needs to have the directory inserted to the command line so answer to the questions(1 for yes etc.), and then when it asks write to it:
"E:\baldur" , or copy paste the directory

I'm pretty sure I checked every box during the install. I can't verify the size of my install dir rignt now since i'm not at home currently. I'll sure do it tonight.
Yes i've put BGT in my BG2 folder (you guessed it's name ) There is a bit more mods in my BG2 folder since I'm following the big world procedure, but I guess I should have a problem (if any) during the copy not to find the BG1 dir
I've tried anyway I could think to enter the path, with or without quotes, with or without trailing \, drag n drop of the BG1 directory in the cmd window (it writes automatically the path).
If it helps in anyway, the program doesn't seem to work much before telling me it's not the right folder, the message appears instantaneously. As if it couldn't find the folder at all.

Great, I hope the game play is free from further rocky adventures.I managed to install BGT succesfully after I copied the missing file. It's weird I didn't have any error during the game installation.
THanks again for your help and all your hard work to create this great mod
