Ninde: It?s a wonder you don?t do your back a mischief, old man, the amount of kit you insist on hauling about.

Keldorn: Fortunately my body has been made strong by years of exercise and combat. Worry not, Ninde, I?m perfectly capable of carrying this and much else besides.

Ninde: Hmm? I like a battle-hardened body?

Keldorn: Ninde, I ask you to desist. A younger, more foolish man than myself might find your little theatrics alluring, but to me, they are amusing at best.

Ninde: They say laughter is the best aphrodisiac, but somehow I doubt that?s what you mean.

Keldorn: And I am, of course, a married man.

Ninde: (Sigh) So are all the best ones! What?s a girl to do? Perhaps you know? a virile young squire? Or three?

Keldorn: I somehow doubt you have quite the temperament to make a good wife for an aspiring young paladin.

Ninde: Who said anything about wife?

Cernd: I have heard of the secret cabals of Druids that operate in the water-hollowed underground caverns of Waterdeep, Ninde. Tell me, have you ever encountered one of these groups?

Ninde: Encountered, quite possibly slaughtered. Your kind aren?t known for being the most cordial to necromancers. Or to any one who likes wearing fur. I meet both criteria. Oh, and I do so love a big unicorn haunch, cooked extra rare!

Cernd: *Unicorn* meat?

Ninde: I jest, Cernd, I jest.

Cernd: It is true your magics would be abhorrent to most of my order, but I wonder if violent confrontation is really the most effective way to deal those who subvert nature?s rulings.

Ninde: I heartily agree. I?d much prefer a little present.

Cernd: You?re in a silly mood today, Ninde, if I?m not much mistaken.

Ninde: As frolicsome as a frolicking pole cat in the snow, as you might say.

Jan: So, necromancy, eh? Is it known to work on vegetables?

Ninde: What a question, Jan. Dare I ask why? Planning on resurrecting your own formidable army of rancid turnips from the Jansen family table scraps?

Jan: Well, not so much. I was thinking more of cousin Feivel and his ever-doomed cabbage patch. Nice guy, Feivel, but to call him negligent to the needs of vegetables would be an understatement, and as a result he?s never popped out a decent batch in his life. Perhaps if you could give him a few pointers he?d make a copper or two on market day, huh?

Ninde: Jan, I am a Necromancer; feared by the dead and the living alike for my peerless parley with what lies beyond this world. And you are suggesting I turn my skills to restoring your cousin?s withered produce?

Jan: Yeah. That is, if resurrection spells are applicable to flora.

Ninde: If I could be bothered to bend down, rest assured, I would fix you with a steely gaze.

Jan: Eh, never really figured you for an outdoorsy girl anyway.

Finally, someone for my evil elven fighter/thief to romance.

I liked the banter between her and Keldorn, it's almost like Viconia but without the snarling and arguing.
And her comments to Cernd, ouch!

Ninde Friendship Talk

Ninde: <CHARNAME>, you operate in a sphere perhaps more traditionally dominated by men, and what you do ? you do it well. But tell me, do you find it hard? You can?t exactly wander round bragging about the size of your loins and indulging in manly backslaps as your companions might.

PC:And why not? Anything a man can do, I can do better!

Ninde: Except, of course, being a man. It would be fatuous to suggest you could do that better. But your contrived disdain for the talents of men? Surely you have found them worthy companions in the past?

PC: You needn?t take me so seriously, Ninde! I was joking ? of course I know how worthy men can be. In many ways.

Ninde: Yes, well. Call me orthodox, but jokes ought to amuse me. Nonetheless, I am glad you are not one of these awful women with dirty fingernails who insist on the verbal battery of anything with chest hair and a baritone.

Ninde: You?ve smacked in the odd manly skull, though. And one I have a particular interest in, at that.

PC: All the skulls rather blur into one. Who is it you are interested in?

Ninde: Sarevok?s. Who else?s? He was your brother, and you killed him. I don?t want to know the details, but something much more simple for you to recall; how did it feel? I want to know how? how it felt when you killed him. Was it a release? Or were you ever sweet and regretful as his life seeped away as smoke from a broken scrying crystal?

PC: Pure pleasure. My vocabulary is not nearly extensive enough to explain to you joy I felt as his mangled body dissolved into a pretty little cloud of gold dust.

Ninde: Hah! And you kissed the Dukes of Baldur?s Gate with that mouth? You?re an entertaining Bhaalspawn ? all contradictions. I think I should like to have met this brother of yours. He seems to inspire the strongest of emotions.

Ninde: I had a brother of my own, you know. Respen. He was killed by Shadow Thieves, and of course, the situations are hardly comparable. Still, let it not be said that Ninde does not trade a tale for a tale. I will tell you about him, some time, should you wish.

PC: Certaintly, I?d like that.
