I got the same bug! I killed everyone, except the two and found they wouldn't die. The battle is supposed to have a timer, it kept going on and on. I only managed to duplicte this bug once. I think it might be the timer.Calanen we plan to add alot more modules in the near future. The Ghost Tower of Inverness is almost finished, the G series is on it's way as well. We really love feedback, CA is for everyone to enjoy. Our goal is to give a new game for modders and players to enjoy. Thanks for finding this bug. SirBillyBob, it might be the timer.
Just in relation to after you return to Westgate, is this where you are up to for the modules and its game over for the moment? Just seems like there is nothing there when you return, and you cant leave the screen.
I can duplicate the bug in fighting pretty much every time, if you wack Eonwulf then the timer stops obviously. Also, if you kill too many of the slaver lords the same thing happens.

Actually you are in Selguant. You made it to the end. Coming soon is Selguant...it is huge. The city is bigger than Baldurs Gate. There are multiple paths to the slave lords so there is replaying value. I hope you enjoyed the mod so far. DId you try the Althon/Aesdale combo? They are directly tied in to the plot.
Yes I did enjoy it. It is mostly playable and OK, there are only a few minor bugs that need some tweaking. One thing that seems to be pervasive is people not wanting to talk to you sometimes. To get them to talk to you, you need to leave the area and come back, and then it seems to work.
Another problem which is more the Infinity engine gameplay than a bug, is that your reputation goes through the floor until you are despised if someone has a confusion spell cast on them and they hack up some innocents. I was unable to use my Paladin powers anymore, because Rurik got confused by those ghost type things in the Slavers castle, and hacked up some of the slaves. So because of something beyond your control, you become the most hated party in the whole country!
Ok, the map I think says I am in Westgate when I returned, but thats probably something that is not up to date. Althon/Aesdale, er no. I think Althon got killed and replaced with Rirania and I did not want to get rid of Rurik to have Aesdale instead. Rurik is preferable to Aesdale I think.

Yes, it is an engine problem. The idea of "reputation" in the IE engine could have used some serious improvements. You also have to watch out for enemies casting area spells around innocent people. Sometimes you are the one who gets the reputation penalty. Just reload and try again.

Did this occur at a particular part of your run through? Or did it start from roughly the beginning and keep on going from there?

Just a thought: could you add an Effect to the spell like 'Modify attacks per round' and set it to 0 so you couldn't slaughter innocence. (Though if that worked you couldn't randomly attack enemies either....)Another problem which is more the Infinity engine gameplay than a bug, is that your reputation goes through the floor until you are despised if someone has a confusion spell cast on them and they hack up some innocents. "Ok, I've just about had my FILL of riddle asking, quest assigning, insult throwing, pun hurling, hostage taking, iron mongering, smart-arsed fools, freaks, and felons that continually test my will, mettle, strength, intelligence, and most of all, patience! If you've got a straight answer ANYWHERE in that bent little head of yours, I want to hear it pretty damn quick or I'm going to take a large blunt object roughly the size of Elminster AND his hat, and stuff it lengthwise into a crevice of your being so seldom seen that even the denizens of the nine hells themselves wouldn't touch it with a twenty-foot rusty halberd! Have I MADE myself perfectly CLEAR?!"

That's strange, the ToB patch should deal with any invalid reasons of "being busy", it should only apply if the NPC was actually busy in like, trying to escape the area, or some other form of action that renders conversation invalid.
Did this occur at a particular part of your run through? Or did it start from roughly the beginning and keep on going from there?
From the beginning. Just people would be busy say in taverns, or at shops..exit the area, try again, and again..eventually they would talk to you.

It definitely isn't a bug within CA. It has to be something in your install or copy of BG2. I assume you did patch it before installing CA?
Apologies for the delay, havent been able to look up at work.
Yes everything was patched and good to go. Just a persistent bug for some reason.
