Bastila for K1. HK for K2. I would have voted HK for K1 but Bastila is just hot.

Kreia is amazing. Actually, you don't need to take her along with you very much. A lot of what she does and says will happen either in discussions with her on the ship - don't miss out on those no matter what else you do - or through her ability to speak in your mind. I tend to keep Visas or Mira with me when I'm off-ship, because they are two of the more interesting characters.

Juhani by a long way in Kotor 1, most interesting character in the game.

Kreia for Kotor II. Brilliant, fascinating character, and quality voice acting. Visas came close second.

I had no idea Kreia was so popular. I personally didn't think too much of her.

However because of who she was she needed a lot more development than some of the other characters, and I recognize that she was probably better than most. But I don't know who I'd vote for in the first one. I wasn't much impressed by any of the NPCs.

I suppose that's a good point, although I'd consider Atton fairly well-developed too.

I liked Carth a lot, though HK47 comes in as a close second.

So--I voted Carth for KOTOR1 & HK for KotorII, though I've never played II*

For Kotor 1, Jolee Bindo for me, hands down. Both concept and execution was very well done (although I don't like how he ends up hostile to a Dark Side character in the end). Bastila was good, and Carth I liked as a female romance (he was the first one who I played who could take a joke, and indeed would joke at the main character's expense). HK-47 as the assassin droid was downright brilliant (nasty droid with a great voice-set, a tendency to want to resolve every single problem through 'blasting the meatbags', and a Hitman reference to boot? Yes, please). But Jolee outranked them all for me, mostly through humour value and character believability (old, wisecracking, rather disillusioned Jedi? Cool.).

Kotor 2... well, IMO, a lot of the characters in Kotor 2 could have been done better. Visas has a lot of potential, as does the Handmaiden, but both were rather underdeveloped for the most of it (also, Kotor 2's ending screwed both of them over completely). I actually liked Mira, as the 'bad-ass bounty hunter with an attitude and a soft side'. Atton.... meh; I liked him, but I thought he lacked depth. Kreia just takes center stage due to sheer screen time, writing/voicing quality, and character originality. Also, it was about time Star Wars had a female villain .

I agree with Ernie-Jolee got my vote hands down for best KotOR1 NPC. Can't remember who I voted for for KotOR2.

I voted Hk for both mainly because:
A. Of his enthusiam for killing things in KOTOR 1
B. His love of the word Meatbag
C. His describition of love in the second game, the only char other than T3 who stayed from the first
D. T3 gives me a headache and i hate go-to so he's the only droid left
