The priests who serve Faerun?s deities use a wide variety of titles. Lathander is served by Morninglords, Helm by Watchers, and Talos by Stormlords. What are the speciality priests of the following deities called?

I am completely flummoxed again, but I continue to be educated! At the end of next week there will have been 20 questions. I shall set them out prettily as Chapter One of the FAQ I'm building, and send my file to Bluenose.

I'm still doing Gnomes 101. Next... Dwarves?
I did battle with monsters, and they became me, and when I gazed into the abyss, the abyss looked away shyly.

Oh dear... I have a book on avatars even, but euh... can't find a book that easily lists this... guess I have to like... try and remember stuff (at which I normally rock, but I haven't done that many FR campaigns to know stuff like Mulhorandi people ... jeez) :crying: :P
And I won't copy answers! ;)

Amaunator - Sunlord

Arvoreen - Truesword

Clanggedin - (guess I am probably now sorry I don't have BG1NPC :P)

Corellon Larethian -

Eilistraee - Sword dancers
(and sword maidens, I believe they are once called in War of the Spider Queen serie. I may remember wrong with the nick name of the godess naturally)

Isis-

Mystra - Dweomerkeeper

The Red Knight - (only know they are also called the Red Fellowship)

Sune - Sunite (but that is probably too common :P)

Still modding the Mod for the Wicked... It is a big project you know... And I got sidetracked (several times) a bit... sorry.
However, as we all know, Evil never really sleeps.

Having missed a day - I will never eat anything on a dare again - today there's two sets of questions. Isn't that a treat.

Some deities are known by more than one name. All the following are alternative names for a god or goddess better known by another name. Who are they?

Khalreshaar

Bhaelros

The Earthmother

Ramman

The Hidden One

Silverymoon

Most deities have one ore more especially inportant holy sites, whether their primary temple or an important site. Who are worshipped at the following places?

The Falls of Tumbling Stars

The Festhall of Eternal Delight

The Flaming Brazier

The Fortress Faithful

The Foundry of Stout Souls

The Fountainheart of Shimmering Gold

Just like people, gods sometimes disappear or die. And in D&D, death isn't always the end for either people or gods. All the following deities have been reported dead at some point. What caused them to disappear, and what are their final fates?

Bane

Leira

Myrkul

Tyche

Waukeen

Zandilar

Answers 1: AKA

Khalreshaar - Meilikki (among the elves)
Bhaelros - Talos (in Calimshan)
The Eartmother - Chauntea (in the Moonshae Islands)
Ramman - Anhur (an Untheric god killed by Hoar, who's power was taken by Anhur)
The Hidden One - Mystra (in Rashemen)
Silverymoon - Lurue (in parts of the North)

Answers 2:

The Falls of Tumbling Stars - Meilikki
The Festhall of Eternal Delight - Sharess, a temple in Calimport
The Flaming Brazier - Kossuth, a temple in Bezantur
The Fortress Faithful - Tyr, a fortress and temple near Zazesspur
The Foundry of Stout Souls - Moradin, the temple-city of Thuulurn near the Great Rift
The Fountainheart of Shimmering Gold - Hanali Celanil, on top of a hill near the Vale of Evereska

Bane ? slain by Torm; resurrected after the destruction of the ?banelich.?
Leira ? killed by Cyric; largely believed to remain dead although some say she uses death as an illusion.
Myrkul ? died in a duel with Mystra; but sneaked away some of his essence in the Crown of Thorns. (My mother-in-law was named Myrtle. My toddler daughter called her ?Ganny Myrkul.? Granny Myrtle was not a god but my daughter grew up to be a goddess.)
Tyche ? I know only of the Greek god minor god Tyche.
Waukeen ? I don?t know how or if she died; a party of adventurers (which almost certainly should have included Aerie but maybe didn?t) rescued her from prison in the Argent palace.
Zandilar ? I gather she was a Drow deity, but don?t know if she killed or was killed by an Australian Huntsman spider.
I did battle with monsters, and they became me, and when I gazed into the abyss, the abyss looked away shyly.
See, it helps not to believe all the stuff that philosophers spout.

Hm, should have answered the once I knew out of my head quickly. Would have given me a change to catch up a bit with Tempest and Kellen.
Oh well, now I have to do it by heart as my DVD doesn't work somehow :crying:, so here we go

Bane - killed during the times of Troubles, reborn out of his son Xvim, whom had hold his portfolio untill his dad killed him that special way

Leira - Killed by Cyric in times of trouble using Godsbane (the disguised god Mask, which he later broke), and assurped her Illussion domain. She is assumed death

Myrkul - killed by Mystra, but now lives in an artifact which nobody knows where it is (how do they know he is in there... well it is Fearun)

Tyche - Godess of fate was pulled on by good and evil, and decided to be split in Tymora and Basheba, I believe she is now no more due to this

Waukeen - Was captured by the demon prince Graz'zt during the Time of Troubles. after getting away she regained her power as her ally Lliira gave her portfolio back.

Zandilar -

*edit* okay here is an edit so you may strike this off as correct answer, but I can find this name only as an aspect of Sharess by the Elves... Sharess isn't dead, Shar tried to persuade her and later kill her when failed, but never suceeded... so the huh smilie remains

*edit 2* bloody typo's...

Bane: KIA during Time of Troubles, exploded out of Iyachtu Xvim and was reborn.

Leira: KIA by Cyric-possibly not actually dead, but Cyric has taken her portfolio.

Myrkul: KIA during Time of Troubles. Still exists to a degree in the Crown of Horns.

Tyche: Corrupted by Moander, split into Tymora and Beshaba.

Waukeen: Imprisoned by Graz'zt, recently escaped and returned to power.

Zandilar: Captured and weakened by Vhaerun, voluntarily merged her essence with Sharess.

Bane Killed by Torm in ToT. Reborn out of son (Xvim) under Zhentil Keep. Is now a god again.

Leira Killed by Cyric, portfolio absorbed by him

Myrkul Killed by Mystra, Some essence remains in the Crown of Horns. Is met in a certain game where you can devour his soul, or let a companion do it in which more comes of it. But no spoilers.

Tyche Killed by Selune after being corrupted by Moander(interestingly enough god of corruption), split into Tymora and Beshaba

Waukeen Vanished during the ToT. Was later revealed to have been imprisoned by Graz'zt after a deal gone bad. Recently escaped with the help of some adventurers, and is now back in full power. During her absence Lliira managed her portfolio.

Zandilar Weakened after being imprisoned by Vhaerun(who was trying to take her porfolio), Bast/Sharess rescued her and she willing merged with the more powerful goddess

Most races have gods of their own. The elves have Corellon as their main deity, the Dwarves have Moradin, and both have other deities too. Who are the main deities of these races?

Aaracokra

Bugbears

Goblins

Kobolds

Lizardfolk

Ogres

Answers:

Tyche was corrupted near the start of the Dawn Cataclysm by Moander. Her corrupted form was blasted by Selune, and from the remains sprang the current deities Tymora and Beshaba.

Leira was apparently killed by Cyric (and Mask); he absorbed her portfolios to become a god of lies and trickery.

Zandilar the Dancer was part of the Yuirwood pantheon. She was captured and weakened by Vhaeraun, but rescued by the goddess Bast/Sharess and subsequently merged with her.

Bane was killed by Torm outside the city of Tantras during the Time of Troubles. He was subsequently reborn, bursting forth from the form of his son Iyachtu Zvim.

Waukeen went missing during the Time of Troubles. Her attempt to return to the planes by way of a deal with Grazzt failed when he betrayed and imprisoned her. She was subsequently rescued by a party of adventurers.

Myrkul was killed in combat with the mortal wizard Midnight on the slopes of Mount Waterdeep during the Time of Troubles. Part of his spirit was absorbed by an artifact called the Crown of Thorns, where it remains to this day. Myrkul is capable of teleporting the artifact around, and is known to have landed on many of his faithful liches for a time.

A. Red Knight

B. Flandal Steelskin

C. Kossuth

D. Eilistraee? (The sword throws me somewhat. Perhaps it's an older symbol.)

E. Hmm That gold is throwing me off but the symbol seems to be Haela Brightaxe or Tempus. Haela's priests are called to give away extra weapons... Hmm.

We'll it appears they are shorter than the drow, and they're not wielding a battleaxe, as Tempus' favored weapon. So...

Haela

F. Mask
