My party went from the farm north of BG to the Forest to the north, and got a CTD when trying to move to Northern Citadel (bar loads about a third of the way then crashes).

Tried clua to AR30PB but same thing happens.

I did a search but it seems like a unique problem.

Weidu log please.

It should be caused anyway by a missing resource (may a cre or similar),

I saw u biffed everything which is not that good/recommended. I'm pretty sure some resources are NOT available anymore for that area.

2 tries: uninstall biff mod. Or try this: if u're confortable with modding tools, please try to look for the "actors" in Citadel Area and look for them within your NTotSC folder and copy them to the override.

If a cre is missing (which is probable) it should solve your CTD.

Yes I only biffed as a last resort. The override was over 1.5 gig (probably due to those npc mods) and I have an older computer. Starting off in candlekeep the stutter was horrible so I biffed and voila nice and smooth until I get a ctd because the game can't find the resources.

I'll try this with NI or dltcep. Following one of your other threads I had looked at the area file for Firewine ruins (had ctd) and the actors all had their .cres. Guess they weren't where they were supposed to be. Thanks again. If this works then can finally finish the BG1 part.

You may try extracting that area and elements of that area via DLTCEP. Remember the Arlax crash in RoT? I biffed too with Leonardos end_biff but I still have a lot of areas (tis, mos, bmp and files) in my override. Getting that nice big Baldur.BCS script biffed is a positive for biffing. Try opening the area with NI to see if the travel triggers for the worldmap are there also. I use DLTCEP but either will check them. I have never heard of this issue with the Northern Citadel area so you may have something unique.

Or you could have also tried without the deleting part after the biffing. :P Those mod biffers are the worse, especially this: ~SETUP-END_BIFF.TP2~, as it does the deliting part all on itself. A good tutorial on how to biff yourself. :whistling:
